Thank you for this excellent video. The most important thing I got out of this video was the realization that strokes I was trying to do with a single motion are actually accomplished with two or three motions. I think focusing on this will lead to a great improvement in my Japanese handwriting.
@@Crazytesseract Because I’m dyslexic and my father told me a lot about Japan as I was growing up. One cause of my dyslexia is an extreme lack of sensitivity to left-right orientation. There are thousands of symbols in the Japanese language and they are only two, さ and ち, that are mirror images of each other. Another aspect is I find the Japanese literature contains a lot of elements in common with Irish literature. For example, right now I’m reading 怪談:妖しい物の話と研究, which is a Japanese translation of a 100-year old English translation of traditional Japanese horror stories.
Thank you! I've used Russian captions - translation. This way much easier to understand you :) Google Translate: ありがとうございました! 私はロシア語のキャプション - 翻訳を使いました。 これであなたのことをもっと理解しやすくなります。
どうもありがとうございます。I used automatically translated subtitles but anyway I got the sense of your wonderful video (my japanese language is poor😢) Great video 🤩
Hi! Thank you for the lesson and tips on better writing for hiragana and katakana! May I know what you call the exervise sheet you suse for practicing on writing hiragana/katakana/kanji?
Hi, i've been watching your videos for a while and it helped me a lot when i wanted to improve my calligraphy. Since you post videos on western calligraphy with cursive letters, i would like to suggest you on trying vietnamese calligraphy as it is a combination of both chinese and western calligraphy. I find it quite difficult to represent but it is also a good experience to have. Anyway, i like what you do, keep it up ! :)
I understood that calligraphy requires relaxing. Your voice might help me writing letters better www Teaching by cool voice, but attempting funny silently. I like your videos.
As a lefty myself, I've found that it's worth using a sort of "overhand" brush position instead of holding the brush like you would a pen, that way you can take advantage of the pulling movement of the wrist in the same way that a right-handed person would; I think you might mind the serifs come a bit more naturally that way.
Question: Where did you get or find that paper to write on? I am trying to find good paper to practice my writing and I find that the paper that you use might be a good choice. Hopefully you or someone can answer my question
It appears to be standard manuscript paper for East Asian writing. You can find it online I'm sure. Or, if your city has an Asian book shop, they might have it. I get mine in notebooks from a shop in London's Chinatown.
基本が大事とゆうことで何回も繰り返しやらしてもらっています。年齢は68ですが、頑張っています。
すごいですね
@shion すごい!

Why only Japanese? What about learning Hindi or Thai? Why do you prefer Japanese?

me at beginning: wow i cant wait for this lovely tutorial 🙂🙂
me at the end: i wish i could understand a word he was saying 🙂🙂
You can understand the video by looking at what he does. I just know a little Japanese but I understand most of it.
You only need basic knowledge. He intentionally speaks slowly and uses easy to understand grammar.
I wish I could add subtitles for you :D
I don’t know why I’m so mesmerized by this channel. I’m really thankful TH-cam recommended this to me.
めっちゃ分かりやすいです!
I feel like I don’t deserve these lessons.

お尻の部分 😂😂 Japanese is so funny, in German or English this word does not work in this context 😂😂
This word works in this context in Chinese as well.“屁股部分(the same asお尻の部分)”=“rear”

How do you hold the pen?
どんな紙を使っていますか?
Thanks for the spanish sub
XxDiegoxX4 Since their are no English subs I’m using Spanish ( I know enough to listen to a conversation or read a basic book)
matursuwun pakde,

概要らんのブログのところにたくむって書いてあったけれどいいのですか?
Die deutschen Untertitel sind ... ... perfekt. So wird das Wort "Arsch" sicherlich täglich benutzt. 😂😂😂😂
Das hat mich auch ein bisschen umgehauen. :D
Dennoch für automatisch erzeugte Untertitel gar nicht mal so schlecht.
なるほどなるほど!❤
теперь я смогу красиво начертить прямую линию! главное не шевелить ягодицами X-D Спасибо за субтитры!
Uugghhhhh this is SOOO relaxing!!!
О дааа, только начала учить японский и без субтитров не могу, а он тут эти ягодицы, хпза

Ok fine I'll stop buying progressively more expensive pens to try to improve my kanji and actually practice instead.
左利きだから難しいw
Why no english subtitles?
Being left-handed, I’m not too sure how I could do the serifs at the ends of horizontal lines with a brush pen; is there any way I could do them?
As a lefty myself, I've found that it's worth using a sort of "overhand" brush position instead of holding the brush like you would a pen, that way you can take advantage of the pulling movement of the wrist in the same way that a right-handed person would; I think you might mind the serifs come a bit more naturally that way.
15:00 I sometimes forget to breathe while I practice writing 😅

There are whole notebooks in this grid, just by them on Amazon
