Laura Branigan Covers ABBA's Hit "The Winner Takes It All" with Cher's Help

This lyric video is my mix (Philthy Fun Share-and-Cher Alike Mix) of Laura Branigan's cover of ABBA's "The Winner Takes It All" with the help of Cher.
Laura Branigan was working on a new album when she unexpectedly passed away 20 years ago in AUG 2004. During these sessions, she recorded "The Winner Takes It All" -- ABBA's smash hit from 1980. There are a few versions on the internet. I've included links (below) to the version which may be the one Laura Branigan recorded. The arrangement strays from the original quite a bit. To create a mix that is closer to spirit the original, I used the instrumental track from Cher's excellent 2018 cover (hence the mix's name "Share-and-Cher Alike".) It maintains the originals spirit with a more current sound. I couldn't get a great stem extracted since the technology still needs improvements with female vocals and synthesizers on the same track. I was able to patch some (but not all) of the dips using other parts of the stem. I settled on the tempo of 127.8 BPM from Cher's cover and the Key of F from Laura Branigan's version. #laurabranigan #thewinnertakesitall #popmusic #abba #cher #remix
