Quarterbacks don't grow on trees, especially good processors. Gotta pay Purdy next year asap, unless he somehow has an abysmal year. But even an average year will get him the bag. Look, maybe he has a disaster season and forgets how to throw a football, but if he maintains his production or, hopefully, increases it, then he is easily a 50m dollar a year qb. Maybe more since the cap will be higher next season.

He’ll get more than Trevor and they’ll still contend- Purdy gives you 12-15 years as a contender- he is elite in every way. The 49ers lucked out, most redrafts have him as a top ten pick. Someday redrafts will have him as the number one pick.

What if Purdy has a truly awful season in 2024-2025? Then what?
There is zero chance that will happen- if there is no major injury he should be the favorite for mvp.
It would depend on why he had an awful season. Did he get injured? Did he suddenly regress? Did our oline get depleted with injuries? If he suddenly forgets how to play football then it would probably hurt his contract negotiations, if he gets injured, the same. If the team crumbles around him it probably wouldnt change much.
Trevor just had a bad season and got his bag.

He's done more than Trevor, who just got paid. Dak, Carr, Baker, Lamar, Allen, Herbert, Cousins, Murray, Jones. All got paid and never went to a superbowl. It's the market now.
