It's interesting how the illness wears down the mind. Kinda like in, "I have no mouth, and I must scream." The main character assumes AM has only altered the others, and not him, but his paranoia suggests otherwise. Like maybe ALL of the Mane 6 are like that? Assuming their friends are worse of than them themselves, while they're being led insane?
Rarity’s infection distorts her perception. Although she she’s herself as the fairest of them all, unmarred, untouched physically by the affliction, her squishy marshmallow has melted beyond repair. Though her fractured mind says otherwise, her body has warped and rotted worse than any of the other Main Six. Anypony who says otherwise or tries to reason with her is met with unbridled ferocity and murderous intent for seeing the truth inside such a black mirror. Or I could be no where close, or spot on. Which side of the mirror am I looking through?
At 18:03 if you listen really carefully right before the infected starts groaning it sounds like rarity screaming far off in the distance, then it almost sounds like sweetie bell has lost her and if you try to make out what’s she’s saying it sounds like “rarity… raaarrrittyyyy.. rarrityyy.. where’d you go?.. pleaaasee, rarrrityyyy, where are you?… rarrittyyyy…” then you can hear occasional hissing which could be sweetie belle going back and finding something (a rat or bat I think). Soooo I think rarity may have been swept out by the currant in the sewers and could have escaped, but that’s just a theory… A FILM THEORY!!!
Pretty sure that “Rarity screaming” is just a high-pitched whistle-like instrumental to fit the eerie tone… But I really want Rarity to be alive so I’m accepting your theory to cope!
I hate to say it but given that type of suit and mask her swimming would have been horrible and the water would get into the mask and cause her to drown, but I hope I’m wrong
Okay. So. The chills the sounds of the infected gave me. I can't explain it. It's not a roar. Or a moan or growl. It's... music. A hum. Nothing you think would come from an infected monster. It's beautiful. But at the same time, it sounds so very, very wrong... It vaguely reminds me of the concept of a false hydra? The song, I mean. I really want to say it was an EXCELLENT decision. I'm not the kind to get scared, but I felt genuine dread when it started... incredible work!!!
Her rapid transformation probably caused that. With the others it took days, yes? That longer mutation time and the body's immune system desperately trying to fight it off probably does more damage to the host overall. But a mutation that takes minutes? The pain of it probably broke Sweetie's sanity, but it might also have meant she'd otherwise be more 'intact' so to speak. Things that were second nature to her to the point of taking them for granted she can probably still do. For example, if you look at the art of Rarity facing you during the credits, you see Sweetie Belle in the water looking like she's SWIMMING (or possibly walking) underneath it. Singing is something that she's done from time to time in the show and she to enjoyed it. If my theory is correct it would also explain why she was down there at all. She was smart enough to either open a door or a hatch to get in. - Also, the idea of a False Hydra infestation in Equestria. Yikes, what a nightmare!

That Gemstone one reminded me of an old game called Don't Escape 3. In it you play as an astronaut that's suffered memory loss and has to figure out what happened to the others, and himself. Along the way you find out that one of the crewmates was killed when weird crystals grew inside of them and ultimately killed them....then engulfed the entire room around the body.

Heck nah it was not our fault that Sweetie bell killed Rarity while walking through the tunnels, she said tunnels were save but here we got a tentacle monster on loose. Rarity should have just went to a safe place before telling her sad past. It would have saved both Rarity and the reader

Where do I even begin? Scribbler you don't simply make fanfic readings anymore you make entire Experiences. And this was absolutely Exquisite. The performance behind Rarity was shockingly good. And the editing put the viewer right there next to Rarity every step of the way. Hats off to everyone who worked on this masterpiece.

OH MY GOD, Rarity just got SNATCHED and DEVOURED by her own sister! Sweetie Belle was hiding in the water!? Did the virus mixed with the 'cure' somehow make her mutate into an aquatic creature or was she just more resistant to different environments!? I have so many questions!!!!!

This was fantastic! The atmosphere you created, Scribbler, was truly amazing as usual. Great performance by Mya Wolf as Rarity. One of the best Rarity voices I’ve heard in a while. I can’t wait to see who will be next in this series.
To me this series is interesting for its sound design and how relatively in character everypony are, given their circumstances. Its an amazing and a Very time consuming job to keep it all on level. Thank you, Scribbler, for yet another piece of art!
While symptoms of the disease vary from pony to pony, most victims succumb immediately to infection of the region where the virus enters the body. This is then followed by violent convulsions, during which the victim's fur turns pale and their veins black as ink. Poisoned blood in the form of throbbing black veins will then emerge from the wound and spread around the body, like a venomous tree. Once the veins reach the head, the victim is presumed to be fully infected. Infected individuals will have their intelligence reduced to an animal-like nature, and they will actively try to hunt and consume uninfected individuals, in the process infecting them with the disease.
This was incredible! From the artwork to the Voice Acting! Very glad to see Mya as Rarity! She blew it out of the park with her voice acting! Can’t wait to see what’s to come!

Man, my heart goes out to Rarity. She's experienced numerous traumas and yet she still deigned to help us despite her horrific experiences. It's always uplifting to see humanity's(or ponies in this case) best qualities shining through in the midst of a story involving a Zombie Apocalypse. And Sweetie Belle, good God, she's terrifying. She's not only become horribly mutated, but what's really scary is that she still retains small portions of her sentience, only for the infection to twist it into pure insanity. That's far more devastating outcome than if she was just a mindless, ravenous zombie.
So Scribbler we got Rarity this time? Sweet! I'm sure this is going to be interesting seeing how an attractive fashionista goes through these horrors. Nice you got Mya to do her voice! @@Archiver_Studio Have to find her again. She's mostly still intact mentally, so with a new assistant and better resources and occasional reminders of bits of information that have gone fuzzy for her she might develop a more reliable cure, or at the very least a preventative.

I don't care what happens but I need to see starlight and she needs to be alive. I don't care if shes half infected or insane. I don't care if she's somewhere in the woods. I dont care if she went back in time to escape she needs to be alive
Ok so if I know anything about horror, when a death happens off screen, the character will mostly likely come back in some way. Sure we heard Rarity getting attacked and pulled under the water. But we kept running so we never saw a body of any kind. Maybe later, we'll see one and it is most likely that Rarity is gone. But I think she might come back as an infected rather than just being dead.
Anyone else find the humming drone soothing to listen to? I think I'd be easy prey for those infected if I couldn't see them, just following the sound to my untimely demise.
It would be very interesting to see the intensity of the infection spreading outside the Ponyville region and going to nearby cities, which would be under these categories here: (Hardest hit locations with the CMC) Apple Loosa, Dodge City, Cloudsdale and Canterlot. Interestingly, if the Pegasus and Unicorn races are infected, would they lose their abilities over time of the infection, incapable of flying or magic despite their Cutie Marks gone? How would other cities take this infection into consideration, Manehattan, Philly Delphia, and Baltimare is a long distance to reach in order for the infection to spread. This means they would have enough time to secure the entirety of their region in order to protect themselves even without the Princesses' approval or disapproval.
Addition: EAS should be implemented for the sake of the story. From the earliest and final last broadcast system of the CMC before communication goes down. Early stages EAS: Flu like symptoms of the virus spread in Ponyville, but it shouldn't be a huge problem with the general population for them to cause a mass panic. Intermediate stages EAS: Giving information of a new strain of the virus, which is the CMC strain of the virus and will be displaying symptoms on screen for ponies to be informed and keeps themselves isolated from the infection, if they're infected they are encouraged to get treatment and if refuse treatment from any health-care facilities, they'll be sent to a temporary prison center. Advanced stages EAS: With the CMC going out of control and now spreading outside the intended quarantine zones, all nearby areas are now being told to evacuate before any infected try to seek refuge. Martial Law has already been in action to stop this contagion from nearby cities. Post stages EAS (Final broadcast for any survivors): They'll inform the left remaining of the military and survivors that their leaders have been confirmed dead and that society has collapsed before they give you one last information for you to survive and do whatever it takes before the broadcast abruptly shuts off
This grimdark is really freaking good.. You really get that feeling of hopelessness and overwhelming terror of an Zombie apocalypse. I can't wait to hear more.. these are so good. And I think it has to do with fact that most sounds in this video are environmental sounds, giving you an better way to fall into the world.

I don't know if the infected are singing or humming.But I have already made up an OC for this universe, and it has not even been five minutes Molly: Infected but safe Status: Fully infected but somehow coherent, but not the same as twilight Hunger: 92% Thirst: ???? (Doesn't seem like she needs water) Sanity: 67% Note From Silly: Molly used to hum and sing a lot when she wasn't infected, and that's somehow carried over to her being infected. What Happened was she and another group of survivors were traveling in the sewers But they found out She was infected so she said They Had to Chain her to the wall infusing the chains to the wall with magic And blindfold her So in case her Infected self would be strong enough to break out If she saw anypony She sat there for a few days(They brought her to a more secluded And less walked area of the sewers so The likelihood of someone stumbling onto her was low) She was fully infected and the blindfold somehow merged and melted into her face so she was completely blind And recently She heard a scuffle A maire screaming loud humming And gallopin She tried calling out , but all she knew how to do Since her infection was too hum and sing But it somehow worked.She's somehow managed to hum and sing a different frequency from those Infected The somepony came and took a look at her and saw that she was very infected But he was sure he Heard somepony that wasn't infected humming.
Ooh, that was chilling, the ambience is amazing. I'm holding out for Rarity, I feel she did drop her guard a little there at the end but she was very adamant about her protective suit and her protective measures. So I'm hoping she won't be taken out that easily, and I love that we have more backstory and we find out that "the infected" have a calling card of some sort. Very cool and the ending credits gave me goosebumps, great work as usual.

Oh, dear... Rarity mentioning the infected see others as food... I have a bad feeling Twilight’s partial infection is either going to worsen or her life end upon meeting an infected pony. With her fluctuating mental state, her ability to react in time could be restricted and result in her demise. Poor Rarity. If Twilight doesn't become more infected, I have a feeling what was once Sweetie Belle will no longer physically exist when Twilight finds out she ended Rarity. Twilight’s rationale and impulse control are not exactly sound at the moment. And whom could Rarity have been intending to take us to? One must assume it's another of the Mane 6... but who? Pinkie Pie would be best as an organiser, Dash or AJ would be better a leader and Fluttershy would be a carer... though, we do know a post apocalyptic scenario CAN harden her, ala Chrysalis Timeline from Season 5's finale.

We didn't see her corpse so I'm holding out hope. The character who died off screen coming back at the last minute is a classic trope.

Reminds me of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, minus that the veins are black instead of lava-colored.

Man, my heart goes out to Rarity. She's experienced numerous traumas and yet she still deigned to help us despite her horrific experiences. It's always uplifting to see humanity's(or ponies in this case) best qualities shining through in the midst of a story involving a Zombie Apocalypse. And Sweetie Belle, good God, she's terrifying. She's not only become horribly mutated, but what's really scary is that she still retains small portions of her sentience, only for the infection to twist it into pure insanity. That's far more devastating outcome than if she was just a mindless, ravenous zombie.
So Scribbler we got Rarity this time? Sweet! I'm sure this is going to be interesting seeing how an attractive fashionista goes through these horrors. Nice you got Mya to do her voice! She's talented that's for sure! Interesting your doing Sweetie Belle this time! I'm sure it will sound cute from you doing her this time! I'm here for you Scribbler! Let's hope Rarity and Sweetie are safe. Cause with how this series looks, i hope they are.

@@Archiver_Studio Have to find her again. She's mostly still intact mentally, so with a new assistant and better resources and occasional reminders of bits of information that have gone fuzzy for her she might develop a more reliable cure, or at the very least a preventative.

The fact that she is still alive arises from her Alicorn Magic which makes her almost entirely immortal
@@Archiver_Studio but, the point still stands that she was at least a little bit coherent. She could remember stuff, and was mostly able to keep her anger in check. There is a chance, no matter how small, so long as one looks for the light.

Ok so if I know anything about horror, when a death happens off screen, the character will mostly likely come back in some way. Sure we heard Rarity getting attacked and pulled under the water. But we kept running so we never saw a body of any kind. Maybe later, we'll see one and it is most likely that Rarity is gone. But I think she might come back as an infected rather than just being dead.
Premiering at the same time as Wrestlemania 40 feels uniquely targeted to me
Anyone else find the humming drone soothing to listen to? I think I'd be easy prey for those infected if I couldn't see them, just following the sound to my untimely demise.

It would be very interesting to see the intensity of the infection spreading outside the Ponyville region and going to nearby cities, which would be under these categories here: (Hardest hit locations with the CMC) Apple Loosa, Dodge City, Cloudsdale and Canterlot. Interestingly, if the Pegasus and Unicorn races are infected, would they lose their abilities over time of the infection, incapable of flying or magic despite their Cutie Marks gone? How would other cities take this infection into consideration, Manehattan, Philly Delphia, and Baltimare is a long distance to reach in order for the infection to spread. This means they would have enough time to secure the entirety of their region in order to protect themselves even without the Princesses' approval or disapproval.
Addition: EAS should be implemented for the sake of the story. From the earliest and final last broadcast system of the CMC before communication goes down.
Early stages EAS: Flu like symptoms of the virus spread in Ponyville, but it shouldn't be a huge problem with the general population for them to cause a mass panic.
Intermediate stages EAS: Giving information of a new strain of the virus, which is the CMC strain of the virus and will be displaying symptoms on screen for ponies to be informed and keeps themselves isolated from the infection, if they're infected they are encouraged to get treatment and if refuse treatment from any health-care facilities, they'll be sent to a temporary prison center.
Advanced stages EAS: With the CMC going out of control and now spreading outside the intended quarantine zones, all nearby areas are now being told to evacuate before any infected try to seek refuge. Martial Law has already been in action to stop this contagion from nearby cities.
Post stages EAS (Final broadcast for any survivors): They'll inform the left remaining of the military and survivors that their leaders have been confirmed dead and that society has collapsed before they give you one last information for you to survive and do whatever it takes before the broadcast abruptly shuts off

Note From Silly: Molly used to hum and sing a lot when she wasn't infected, and that's somehow carried over to her being infected. What Happened was she and another group of survivors were traveling in the sewers But they found out She was infected so she said They Had to Chain her to the wall infusing the chains to the wall with magic And blindfold her So in case her Infected self would be strong enough to break out If she saw anypony She sat there for a few days(They brought her to a more secluded And less walked area of the sewers so The likelihood of someone stumbling onto her was low) She was fully infected and the blindfold somehow merged and melted into her face so she was completely blind And recently She heard a scuffle A maire screaming loud humming And gallopin She tried calling out , but all she knew how to do Since her infection was too hum and sing But it somehow worked.She's somehow managed to hum and sing a different frequency from those Infected The somepony came and took a look at her and saw that she was very infected But he was sure he Heard somepony that wasn't infected humming.

Ooh, that was chilling, the ambience is amazing. I'm holding out for Rarity, I feel she did drop her guard a little there at the end but she was very adamant about her protective suit and her protective measures. So I'm hoping she won't be taken out that easily, and I love that we have more backstory and we find out that "the infected" have a calling card of some sort. Very cool and the ending credits gave me goosebumps, great work as usual.

Rarity mentioning the infected see others as food... I have a bad feeling Twilight’s partial infection is either going to worsen or her life end upon meeting an infected pony.
With her fluctuating mental state, her ability to react in time could be restricted and result in her demise.
Poor Rarity. If Twilight doesn't become more infected, I have a feeling what was once Sweetie Belle will no longer physically exist when Twilight finds out she ended Rarity.
Twilight’s rationale and impulse control are not exactly sound at the moment.
And whom could Rarity have been intending to take us to?
One must assume it's another of the Mane 6... but who?
Pinkie Pie would be best as an organiser, Dash or AJ would be better a leader and Fluttershy would be a carer... though, we do know a post apocalyptic scenario CAN harden her, ala Chrysalis Timeline from Season 5's finale.
