Musical? Oh my God! I can only hope this doesn't impact her as an artist! Please do not get this wrong! There aren't that many really good musical titles for my taste. I can count the ones I remember on one hand. The rest is just uniformity to me. I know that this is a very subjective judgement. But the majority of musicals strike me as very amateurish in terms of performance. And that's not necessarily due to the artists' skills! A good actor can also look bad under a bad director. I hope she will be one of the artists who leaves a lasting impression in the musical genre. She definitely has the skills and deserves it anyway.
Simply Amazing Beautiful. I never heard an Angel Sing till I heard Lucy and Martha. A GOD given Blessing for All to Hear and REJOICE in the Song of Angels✝️❤
She's from Wigan a town in the North of England where I'm from Lucy is a down to earth young lady I've seen her busking in the town centre in years past. I'm so happy the rest of the world are beginning to see her talent.
David, lucky you! I'm over here in Orlando, Florida, USA, and I have to pull some serious strings to pick up 2 tickets to see what I believe is the best solo performer EVER, Miss Lucy Thomas, for her big stage premier, "Rosie", next autumn of 2024! Her masterpiece performance of "Hallelujah" was selected by America's Hollywood for the movie, "On a Wing and a Prayer", which was released here in the States back on April 7th! She just made her vocal big screen appearance and beat out hundreds of other versions of this song, yeah, no brainer here! The on-screen song is 1 minute and 25 seconds so I'm going to see this movie only because Lucy will be heard! She has a massive following in the States already!
Her eyes are killer, aren't they? And her voice delivers what the eyes are promising! I love her for everithing: for her talent, her hard work, her naturalness, her modesty in her artistic appearance, the development of her skills over the years, simply everything! I forgot: her eyes! ;-)
*_Thank you for your reaction to Lucy Thomas...._* Lucy has been singing since she was young, have heard as young as 7. Her first video was age 9. She is currently 18, has released 4 albums, and many singles. She is from the United Kingdom and signed a record contract right after The Voice - Kids UK at age 14. Lucy truly is one of a kind. Your reaction is typical of others hearing Lucy Thomas. I heard 'Hallelujah' the first time and was awestruck. Lucy's technical singing skills are better than many pros with decades of experience. She was only 16 or 17 when she recorded this. When I first heard it, I almost fell out of my chair. I have over a decade of singing and acting experience. I had to play song over and over to make sure my ears and eyes weren't tricking me. *_They weren't - Lucy is the real deal..._* Lucy doesn't copy songs, she improves them. Her rendition of 'Hallelujah' is best I have ever heard, and I have heard dozens before. I have a standing bet no one will beat it. Even if they copied her, they can never do it as well. The song has many millions of view for a good reason - it is talent on a whole new level. Her technical singing skills are amazing; perfect breath control, multi-octave vocal range, exact note placement, her vibrato is so tight it doesn't vary more than a 1/4 note up or down. Her physical delivery skills help listeners connect at a very emotional level. It is as Lucy is standing in front of you singing a solo just for you. She is beyond amazing. *_Thanks again for your reaction..._*
Yes, Lucy IS the real deal; no solo performer, past or present, will match her. "Rosie" next year, will be more proof of this and she will be known world-wide, as she should be!
Her rendition of Hallelujah is the BEST I've ever heard and I've heard many.......BEAUTIFUL It's included in the Dennis Quaid movie, A Wing and a Prayer.
By the way, this performance is now one of the soundtracks in the Hollywood movie, "On a Wing and a Prayer", which opened last Friday, April 7th! I'm sure the producers and executives of this movie looked at hundreds of versions of "Hallelujah" and Lucy's performance was selected, no shocker here! When her musical, "Rosie", is released next year in autumn of 2024, which she is the co-producer of this, along with her brilliant songwriter, Chris Broom, she will be known all over Planet Earth and her career will take off.......
Thank you for doing another reaction to Lucy. She is absolutely the best voice out there… no one can compare. THE PRAYER is amazing… it will blow your socks off!
I've already seen a few react videos about Lucy! from professionals from all areas of the music business and also from laypeople. But the reactions, especially from the professionals, always put a smile on my face. How Lucy is able to completely flash even people who have already heard a lot of good performance. She is simply an exceptional talent.
Jeff, I can't believe that I didn't comment before about her vibrato. I've seen you describe a perfect vibrato in other reactions. Here we have a perfectly trailing off vibrato. This is one of the first pieces of hers I watched and from the get-go I loved her voice and then that long amazing vibrato at the end of the verses just grabbed me and pulled me right in. WOW! I am a solid fan of Lucy.
This young lady has been given a gift from God. She sounds like an Angel. Lucy will have a future that will bring everyone Joy and Happiness when she sings. Love her Beautiful voice. God Bless You Lucy
It is a very promising career for Lucy Thomas. I'll follow it up. I never heart such a voice with such a volume ... and best of all ... she has full control ... the result is insanely great1
Every time I see her no matter what song she's singing I get chills up the back side of my back and up into my neck down my arms like I said in my other comment she was blessed truly believe she has been blessed from God with beauty character and an angel's voice
Thank you for this great reaction to Lucy. I am happy to see you have returned to react to her again. To acknowledge Lucy's abilities is so welcoming to hear from a professional in the music business such as yourself. Otherwise, Lucy is phenomenal. I can't find words enough to express how much I enjoy and admire her voice and inner and outer beauty. I could listen to her all day long and never get tired of her singing.
I think any song Lucy sings would get positive reactions. Let's face it, she's on her way to being one of the GOAT. Big things are coming down the pipeline so keep listening and hope you do more reactions. Lucy just turned 19 on Feb/21.
@@ChrisScott0 😆 Happy you did. I didn't do the dots after each letter. She will be in her time. Extraordinary young lady. She just announced her first public concert in Manchester on March 5/24 . Tickets are on sale.
@ChrisScott0 You're very fortunate to live close to her appearances, and I am not in the UK, but if I were, horses couldn't drag me away from going. I did buy a ticket to her first public concert, but I guess it will remain unused as I won't make it there. I just wanted the ticket to support her. I'm in Canada, Alberta, and I can't get a passport soon enough. Flights with accommodation are around $1400 for 3 days, and with everything else, probably $2000 to $2500 and too short of a time. If I were affluent, I would not care about $$$. Have a great time.
@@donlloyd2988 I live in Wigan and I’m not affluent, but it’s a 4+ hour drive there and the same back to see Lucy on Tuesday, but in March only an hour on the bus into Manchester. I’ll be going to Rosie as well in London, so another long journey for that. But I doubt premier front row seats on that. There is a saying here: “Put your month where your mouth is”. I’ve said a lot so now need to step up and support our Lucy. I’ve missed events in the past and regretted it, so I’m going for these. You only live once! I’m sat on Lucy’s table on Tuesday, and then in March on front row stall A meeting Lucy with wine. So I’ve spent a bit, but I expect will be worth it, especially this Tuesday because there is an unbelievable secret guest that has made my life never mind my day. You can ask me who it is on Wednesday. I don’t know about your flight costs, but there is cheaper accommodation outside of Manchester. Make history at Lucy’s first official own concert, and an intimate event. She could be the big star, yet you had the ticket and didn’t go. There are quite a few people flying in from the U.S. and Canada. Some are asking for a guide to Wigan, which I might do for them. You have time to even share travel and accommodation, so keep trying if you have the ticket. There is still 3 months to make it happen. I’d say you could find accommodation for £70 per night and eat cheaply for £15 per day. Basic travel in and out of the city £4 per day. £500 plus your flight should cover you plus enjoy a little, and the US dollar is strong against the Pound.
Hallelujah has been one of my absolute favorite compositions since I first heard the incomparable Leonard Cohen sing it so many years ago. I have to believe it is one of the most covered songs ever. This 16 y/o young lady is extraordinary and her rendition is among the best, in my humble opinion! Leave it to Jeff to introduce us to some of the best music around! Many thanks.
Second comment. Lucy is, now , almost 19. Since this video she improved. ( Yes,...she is even better now!) Listen her original song: Broken dreams, or her cover of Barbara Streisand song: The way we were. Also, with her little sister Martha, she did , for me, the most beautiful performance of : The prayer. A must to see, ear, and feel in your soul🤗🥰❤️👍
Anthony, listen to some of her earlier songs like 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Writing on the Wall', both done at age 15, and truly showcases what extremely high talent she has......many comparisons have been made to the legendary late Karen Carpenter. No disrespect to Karen because her voice was absolutely angelic and so incredibly beautiful, but Lucy takes this to another level.......even at age 15!
Jeff, Lucy Thomas has a new one out and lot are playing and reacting to it. Very beautiful voice on this Original piece. Title is "Brand New Day". Worth a look.
Sea Notes, the only reasons I would not be 'entranced' into a Lucy performance, is if I'm either in a coma........or dead!! Lucy is simply on a different plane.........just unbelievable every performance, no one will EVER come close to her!!
I thought you forgot about Lucy. Happy to see it was only a delay. Since your last video she published so much beautiful videos. Anything you will choose to react will be awesome.🥰🤗👍❤️
Jeff, just watched this again. More observations: you smiled several times (some very slight) and tilted your head showing your interest. Even your eyebrows jumped a couple of times. And of course 'Wow'. All these (at least to me) show how Lucy pulled you right in in this video. Many of hers do that. They begin soft, smooth, and very luscious sounding. Then, lookout, she jumps up a notch or two once you're hooked. It's all very beguiling. Check out Lucy's latest, "SMILE", with Lucy, her sister Martha, and her mother Louise. It's so good I can't hardly get through it without some kind of gut.reaction.
I've heard many renditions of "Hallelujah". This lovely young woman's take is beyond any I've heard so far & she sings the words, not yells or over powers them like many before, So far it's; Mr. Leonard Cohen & Lucy Thomas who makes this song what it's supposed to be. K.D. Lang's version really wasn't all that either! Oh! Notice there's a missing verse too... but it doesn't matter... . Absolutely stunning...! Now checkout anything from Mary Fahl...
Hi.I need to give you a heads up Lucy has just released a new original song "Brand new day" It is without doubt I believe her greatest yet it is phenomenal I just keep playing it over and over again. Please re act to it .
Thanks for your support of the beautiful, uber-talented Lucy Thomas. What a phenomenon! And you do such a good job yourself with your knowledge of music history, your technical insights and the warmth which with you convey your thoughts and reactions. Bravo!
Dude your house is like a PMT store 😳🤣 How many guitars do you have? I'm so pleased you've discovered the incomparable voice of the legend in the making that is Lucy Thomas 🙌
You Raise Me Up is an awesome song sang by Lucy and Martha, but I would like for someone to do a reaction and kind of comparison of the pair singing In the Arms of an Angel at a young age to them singing The Climb by Miley Cyrus. From 10 and 16 to 12 and 18 yrs of age. The growth in Martha's tone is amazing along with how the two compliment each other.
Jeff, just like the first piece you again uttered WOW several times. Lucy just does that to a person. Two things I wish to comment on: 1. She threw herself into this piece; her body language showed that, and 2. Her killer vibrato turns me into a basket case. I listened to this two times here and after all three verses that vibrato just about wiped me out. Also, I noticed the comment right below mine by Peter asked how many people teared up hearing this. I'm right in there. 😂
Jeff, personal to you. I like the way you bring out your thoughts. You talk as if we were sitting in front of you and this is just a conversation with you describing your thoughts in a conversational voice and manner.
My favorite kind of reactions: The Artist "has the screen", the reactor is relegated to a corner. I came across a Lucy Thomas song video some time ago and was floored. Then I came cross her version of Hallelujah and it was the cellar this time. THEN I came across Lucy and her little sister Martha singing duets - that sent me digging sub-cellar until I read somewhere that little Martha is more interested in riding horses than singing! Those sisters are something to watch out for! The only person I can even begin to compare Lucy to is Angelina Jordan. Angelina may be more versatile in her choice of music, but they both have the ability to gently take your hand and invite you, the fan, on a musical journey that is simply unforgettable!
Lucy is awesome, her cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You” is another great example of how she takes a song and makes it her own (I don’t care for Coldplay’s version at all but Lucy’s is great” . th-cam.com/video/-COUAj4Lbuk/w-d-xo.html Her cover of Celine’s “All by Myself” is fantastic th-cam.com/video/4Y1ThLEezys/w-d-xo.html and her cover with her sister Martha of “The Prayer” is epic th-cam.com/video/kzyi0W2gymA/w-d-xo.html
How perfectly effective. If only people actually listened to the lyrics....very ancient bible references but still uplifting in a strange way......hmmmm just like Leonard Cohen himself.
What adds to Lucy's gorgeous voice is her beautiful spirit and face. She is beautiful in all dimensions. I pray she never allows the ugly components in the field of arts destroy these beauties. Stay away for the Harvey Weinstein's of the art world. They will steal you sole.
GREAT LUCY !!!!

Thanks for your support of the beautiful, uber-talented Lucy Thomas. What a phenomenon! And you do such a good job yourself with your knowledge of music history, your technical insights and the warmth which with you convey your thoughts and reactions. Bravo!
Aw, thank you so much! 🫶
Wow! effortlessly
Excellent reaction !
Thank you!
Dude your house is like a PMT store 😳🤣
How many guitars do you have?
I'm so pleased you've discovered the incomparable voice of the legend in the making that is Lucy Thomas 🙌

Hahahaha I just noticed that now 😂 Still nice guitars nevertheless, so glad you're a Lucy fan.
voz fantástica, tanto aqui como na Patagônia...beleza...
Beautiful girls i love voice bravo lucy
Jeff, at 16 yrs. I was sacking groceries and learning to play a few chords from my dad on a Gibson. From small beginnings we can grow.
😃👏👏👏
Não me canso de ouvir essa menina cantar.
Eu fico hipnotizado...abraços do Brasil.
Thank you for putting this on your playlist. Beautiful voice and equally great when Lucy and Martha sing duets.
Her beautiful face rhymes with her beautiful face.
Have a look at this I think this will make your Sunday...........The Greatest Love of All - Lucy Thomas - (Official Music Video)
❤❤❤
Jeff, just like the first piece you again uttered WOW several times. Lucy just does that to a person. Two things I wish to comment on: 1. She threw herself into this piece; her body language showed that, and 2. Her killer vibrato turns me into a basket case. I listened to this two times here and after all three verses that vibrato just about wiped me out. Also, I noticed the comment right below mine by Peter asked how many people teared up hearing this. I'm right in there. 😂
We. Have lost this wonderful soul to the ages. Why do you torment us so.
I love this song so much Lucy you have a beautiful voice..I hope someone from the United States brings you over here!!!’
Jeff, personal to you. I like the way you bring out your thoughts. You talk as if we were sitting in front of you and this is just a conversation with you describing your thoughts in a conversational voice and manner.
Thank you! 😊🫶
I've not seen an angel, but now i've heard one
Lucy, 19 years old by now, has recently dropped a new orginal song 'A brand new day'. I guess you will like it a lot.
MORE LUCY......
Great reaction to a beautiful cover Jeff. Hope you can keep working through the Nightwish Wembley concert! All the best from the UK!
Beautiful
original is sung by this producer Jeff Buckley and Lucy has kept more of the original
Hi Lucy has a new cover you may like to listen to its A Whitney Houston cover." The greatest love of all "
Amazing backing track. Where and how was it done? Do you think she was singing live?
I can only agree with you👍👍👍👍👍
Have you heard Lucy´s original Broken Dreams ?
Her beautiful song I mean.
please react to lucy and martha singing oh holy night its out of this world
Jeff, Lucy Thomas put out a video cover of "Evergreen". It's one you should listen to.
Added it to my list…you’ll see it soon!
How perfectly effective. If only people actually listened to the lyrics....very ancient bible references but still uplifting in a strange way......hmmmm just like Leonard Cohen himself.
Hi There please react to Lucy´s latest release "The greatest love of all" it will not disappoint
Has anyone noticed Lucy's eye pupils are square?
What adds to Lucy's gorgeous voice is her beautiful spirit and face. She is beautiful in all dimensions. I pray she never allows the ugly components in the field of arts destroy these beauties. Stay away for the Harvey Weinstein's of the art world. They will steal you sole.
The only version I liked was in the original movie of Shrek. I’ve heard a few other versions I liked; but the Shrek version was the best!
