Ohgren is going to Iowa to start the season, he doesn't require waivers...let him get tons of icetime the first 4-5 AHL games and if he starts out on fire, you bring him up and replace somebody who started rough...If he proves he can hang with the pro's in preseason, Heidt will likely stick with the Wild for a few weeks (maybe get in a few games) before sending him back to the WHL because its the best scenario for him...
Hey Seth, off topic, could you possibly do a show about the state of Wild broadcasting for this season? Just doing a quick search didn't reveal much. Looks like some preseason games will be on BSN, some won't. The Wild website schedule doesn't show who is broadcasting regular season games unless it's a national broadcast. Would love to see them join Victory+, or something similar, but I know that's a long shot in money first MN. Thank you sir!!
The Wild will start JW in Iowa. The 3rd goalie thing is BG trying to light a fire under Gus. The Wild talk big about competing for spots but in reality the roster is already 95% set.
Bringing in retreads and keeping do nothings absolutely closes the door for your elite prospects. Get rid of the dead weight. This team needs TALENT no more grinders and muckers. They have to make room for guys like Heidt and Yurov in the future, the prospect for success demands BG add to the scoring side. It’s obvious!
Hynes might be a good guy but he does not inspire confidence in winning. He is Just A Get By W Being Average, Glad To Be Here Guy..IMO. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t feel any confidence in his abilities especially after the USA fiasco which was frankly embarrassing
Sorry, Carcus has no way to redeem himself after giving us the damned finger and then going to Worlds and kind of lighting it up? BG really annoys the F out of me!!! Carcus should have been on waivers to not come back, if necessary for treminating his contract!!! IMO, his slacking, and ambivalent attitude & unproffessional play is unexcusable!
You cannot just terminate someone's contract because you don't like them. Unless both parties agree, the player has to have breached their contract for that to happen.
@@gktbaron The option to buy him out is only 600k. Drop in the bucket and then use one of the ELC's to replace him. If last season was not a breach of contract the Wild must honor weak contracts! Like Denny, I would have him doing Herbies for the entire practice and he would ride the pine til he requests to be traded!

IMO, the only spot not up for grabs 1st line left wing. Every other spot is an open competition.
