They simply were stupid enough to waste money on technology that failed to have any strategic effect, and wasted their time building slow, massive tanks that ran out of fuel and broke down. For all those ripping the historical accuracy of the Tiger combat and then the SS batt battle you all need to remember this about the movie. Fury is set in April of 45 near the end of the War in Europe. By this time the Russians had surrounded Berlin and most German units had next to ZERO ammo left left alone getting resupplied. Single tank on tank combat did occur in Europe near the end of the war in the area where the US Army was attacking normally it was units of German armor that had been cut off when they were bypassed and trying to get back to their lines. Also the majority of the Panzerfausts where ordered to Berlin in an effort to hold the city at all costs. Along with all armor anti tank guns most of the regular army units and pretty much anything that they could scrape up went to Berlin before it was surrounded. Now as to how one tank could hold off a Battalion of SS troops. The MG42 can only pen 1 inch of armor the M4E8 has over 40MM or over 1 inch at its weakest point on the hull. So shooting machine guns at it would do next to nothing to really hurt the tank the Germans did not really have a good Anti armor gun that was issued to the infantry like the M2 we did. Next the blown shot in the city beyond a 45 degree angle a tank stands any tank stands a good chance of bouncing the shot. Why do you think we do not use HEAT rounds in our M1A2 tanks instead going for APDS are not angle driven and are harder to ricochet. Lastly while the Fury tank and crew itself was fiction all 7 of the battles where based off of REAL WW2 interactions that happened with M4 Sherman tanks and German troops and or tanks during the War. Hopelessly outnumbered, outgunned, and saddled with an inexperienced soldier Norman (Lerman) in their midst, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds as they move to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
Probably the loader on account of it's slow fire rate shortly after and the fact that only three crew members were seen running from the tank. Just my theory
@@sdslofi1107 I think it was the driver due to it pretty much halting all together, but the gunner, commander, and at least either the driver or loader survived with the latter being killed by the piercing shot/fire
@@thecrtf4953 i know this movie is pretty inaccurate but a sherman shell would never penetrate the turret face of a tiger you have a better chance penetrating the upper glacias
damiansback i think Fury was an E8 model, these Sherman’s where produced to face the German Cats like Tigers and Panthers. While it is impossible for the gun to penetrate the turret at around 500meters, it ain’t on around 50-100 meters
Those are actually tracer rounds. There meant to make it easier for the shooter to know where there shots of going. I believe every fourth bullet is a tracer, and it just looks like they all are because they are firing so fast.
The movie that set the internet forums ablaze from every WWII tiger tank enthusiest out there. Good film, but some action scenes I do agree come off contrived
I agree especially the tiger v Sherman scene the easy eight had a HV 76mm and the tiger should not have advance (sorry I am really a nerd when it comes to tank tactics)
Yea I remember how much people lost their shit about it, even videos dedicated to it. It was pretty entertaining to watch the arguments about scenes like that
Yeah they were but if you read the journals of the Germans and British on vehicular combat this is about as accurate as we can get. Also the anti tank guns were very inaccurate with them having to fire at least 10 shots before landing a perfect shot. (This is for moving targets)
As I watched this I was reminded of those old Sgt Rock comics from the 60s. Ultraviolent! While certainly not technically precise, this movie captures the "effect" of war and close combat. Valor bordering on psychopathy; laser beam focus in the midst of utter confusion... and of course, the bonding of men facing and overcoming the fear of death together. Superb!
I was gonna say how realistic it was that the guy on fire shot himself and how cool that was Bc it never happens, but then I realized wouldn’t the gun either have like idk exploded from the heat, or at the very least been too hot to hold and operate
the unrealitisc thing is that they gave in to the "tommy cooker" myth.... either the tank exploded instantly and killed everyone, or it burnt and they had more time to escape, possibly with burn wounds, but not like shown.... the tiger tank was much worse when it came to escape routes from fire
Times the movie would have ended: 1:16 2:02 (there goes our A-Lister) 2:27 3:02 (don't bother shooting the lead of the column) 4:20 (Waffen-SS doesn't have a single anti-tank weapon) None of this really matters, it's just a film
I actually thought it's the other way around. This movie shows the war in a dark violent tone, where it's often a killed or be killed situation without any room for thought. It shows that the war is fucked up and you're going to see atrocities no matter which side you're on. On the other hand, this movie was notorious amongst historians for its many inacuraccies in portraying tank-to-tank combat during WW2.
German soldiers : oh yeah. lets never stop running infront of the tank and never ambush it from the side and back. ohhhh and dont forget to fire at it with mg´s and k98. it was such a good ww2 movie. the last part made it one of the worst
Regardless of the people bitching about the starwars looking bullets and shells, and the ones bitching about it being crap, i actually have this movie in my top 5 favorite wwii movies -_-
For those of you saying bullets look like star wars blasts: 1 in 5 rounds shot out of the M1919's are tracers that light up to see where you are shooting
3:16 That wasn't a kill, the commander just went back inside, also you counted wrong as every tank shown in the movie contains 5 Crewmembers where you only counted 4, in the Tiger battle, a total of 25 men were killed.
the tiger ambush scene is always irritating for a couple of reasons... 1. to stop a convoy you first target the lead vehicle then the back and box them in. the tiger doesnt do this and at this point of the war german tank commanders would be very experienced that said fury wouldve been the tank targeted first. 2. fury was a 105mm m4 Sherman, this meant it was realistically the biggest threat to the tiger compared to the other 3 75mm shermans in the scene giving it more reason to be targeted 1st. 3. the tiger had no reason to leave its concealed position and close the distance, the shermans didnt know where it was, it had the drop on them, and the commander would know this, plus fury the only real threat to the tiger would be the first tank destroyed realistically in this scenario, the tiger would out range the remaining 75 mm shermans and destroy them without them even knowing what hit them.
Pretty much the only thing that bugged me about this movie was during the Tiger 1 fight. Not that it was alone or did weird stuff, but that when the Fury tank with a 76mm high velocity didn’t penetrate the Tiger’s front armor. It was more than capable of doing so with either solid shot or filler rounds, especially at the point blank range that it was dishing out hits
Yep! It’s worked for ya,but I like this one of the full scenes of this movie! It’s my dad birthday today but I give it a hug and kiss a cheek and I love this video but probably thanksgiving week! *FIRE!* 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 😚 ❤️ 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Let me put it like this, the Germans had a high amount of fanaticism or at least the SS did, but they did not have the time to train them. U.s. bombers were going almost entirely uncontested except for like a measly five German aircraft showing at the luftwaffe couldn't even muster up the massive of Air Force to defend their own country like they did at the start of The Siege. Without that training, is it of any wonder that the SS that was at that time were Beyond incompetent for SS?
WAIT DO I HAVE TO DO EVERYONES THINKING? The overuse of TRACER BULLETS made this a much MORE VISUALLY EXCITING movie. It can be easy explained that the supply of regular ammunition was low (due to bad supply lines) so that both sides had to overuse their tracers. PLUS YOU GOT AN AUDIENCE THAT GREW UP WITH STAR WARS AS THE LOVE OF THEIR LIVES. Big difference here is that both enemies (Allies and Axis) can shoot without missing unlike STAR WARS. STAR WARS is basically a KIDDIE MOVIE masquerading as an ADULT MOVIE.
Also I think it’s best if you increase every Death tank one more to it. Because a Sherman consist of a commander, driver, gunner, loader and a machine gunner
I now i sound like a douch but when the germans were cheking the tank and they all fought i dont see why they didint go for the explosive wepons they had

@@vajer3312 yeah its a E8

How are they firing lasers?
Those are actually tracer rounds. There meant to make it easier for the shooter to know where there shots of going. I believe every fourth bullet is a tracer, and it just looks like they all are because they are firing so fast.
Noah Masi every fifth
Underrated Song Covers Ah. Thank you
Noah Masi Thanks so much. I kept seeing them in these films but I couldn’t figure out what they actually were. Thank you, good friend.
The Poly Gamer No problem!
3:07 Imagine Getting shot in the Face from a Tank🤔😂
KTalksSkinzt BullsNshit I don’t think you’d be feeling anything😂
Death is so fast you won't even know what happend
Insta kill.. No pain
At least it wouldn't hurt.
There be no face or neck left.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say there were quite a few more. But this was an awesome video!
2:28 is a darn Lucky miss, I cant exactly tell where the Anti tank gun hit But It probably should of gone through Fury
I know especially at that range and who would miss a TANK
shell hit the upper right of the turret, skinned across to the right of the commanders cupola
It hit the sloped hull so it would bounce and it had heavy armor but yea I'm with you that Sherman should be destroyed
@@Soarin-Ancient The sight is not perfectly aligned with the cannon you know, his sight was probably aiming for the gun mantlet.
It would have were it not a bullshit unrealistic movie.
Ive seen this 5x the MOST intense realistic war of WWII I could imagine! great film!
It was pretty entertaining to watch the arguments about scenes like that
@DragonMage5255 the first part where they were backing up it gave a clear shot for fury to shoot the flat front armor which will pen
Yeah they were but if you read the journals of the Germans and British on vehicular combat this is about as accurate as we can get. Also the anti tank guns were very inaccurate with them having to fire at least 10 shots before landing a perfect shot. (This is for moving targets)
“How do you know they’re dead are you a doctor!!?!!?”
Time to the Band Of Brothers killcount ^^
Hmm. Maybe. Next time we do war films for sure
Hehe boii
Around 60 millions.
The Pacific was made by the same crews but would have way more bodies
As I watched this I was reminded of those old Sgt Rock comics from the 60s. Ultraviolent! While certainly not technically precise, this movie captures the "effect" of war and close combat. Valor bordering on psychopathy; laser beam focus in the midst of utter confusion... and of course, the bonding of men facing and overcoming the fear of death together. Superb!
At 3:19 it sounds like he is saying "What are you waiting for jar jar binks"
I've been waiting for this video for as long as I have been subscribed to you, which is over a year at this point
I was gonna say how realistic it was that the guy on fire shot himself and how cool that was Bc it never happens, but then I realized wouldn’t the gun either have like idk exploded from the heat, or at the very least been too hot to hold and operate
I imagine when 92% of your body is on fire, very little registers as too hot to hold.
the unrealitisc thing is that they gave in to the "tommy cooker" myth.... either the tank exploded instantly and killed everyone, or it burnt and they had more time to escape, possibly with burn wounds, but not like shown.... the tiger tank was much worse when it came to escape routes from fire
Times the movie would have ended:
1:16
2:02 (there goes our A-Lister)
2:27
3:02 (don't bother shooting the lead of the column)
4:20 (Waffen-SS doesn't have a single anti-tank weapon)
None of this really matters, it's just a film
Only good things about the movie was that it was Shia's last good movie, the girl was very pretty, and they used the only real Tiger
Fucking cool tbh
Yep tiger 131 the only tiger in the world that can still drive
As far as the girl goes, that's a fairly effective form of birth control.
2:29 Pak 38 /40 not penetrating the Sherman. Wonder how often that happened ?
Again, I thought this said Furry.
Best comment
Not the best war movie, but he’s pretty good, one of the best tank movies
Sadly inaccy
At least this movie had an actual tiger tank.
There’s nothing fun about war, if you lived to tell your story then God bless you.
@ CoolP19 , Then you don’t know what real good war is,
''very fine people on both side''
German soldiers :
oh yeah. lets never stop running infront of the tank and never ambush it from the side and back. ohhhh and dont forget to fire at it with mg´s and k98.
it was such a good ww2 movie. the last part made it one of the worst

Can you do a carnage count for Starship Troopers: The Roughneck Chronicles?
That last stand where the guys were in the tank took “over my dead body to the next level this movie was so damn good
3:10 head GONE left the room
They probably killed hundreds off-screen in the final battle.

Its so funny seeing these self proclaimed "historians" throw a tantrum over the inaccuracies of an action movie
If the carnage is more than hundred than wow
That need to take a lot of time to find out how many deaths in one movie
Well done for every video
This movie has more lasers than star wars
Tracer rounds 1 in 5. To know what you are shooting at
1:11 me and the boys on GTA when we see "destroy all target"
1:32 gets me everytime
I watched this movie and I rate it 10 out of 10
I just Googled about tank sherman. You counted 4 crew actually there’s 5 crew in sherman tank
For those of you saying bullets look like star wars blasts: 1 in 5 rounds shot out of the M1919's are tracers that light up to see where you are shooting
Fine Brad Pitt performance.
That German lifted that hatch and Percy Jackson was like top of the morning to ya
1:11
Why did this become Star Wars?? Go back to World War 2!!
Gary King those are Tracer rounds
DatGuy7575, it was supposed to be a joke
@@garyking3389 that's also a fighting formation they do to minimize casualties
gary, king of the humans?
I was wondering about that 😂😂
Pretty much the only thing that bugged me about this movie was during the Tiger 1 fight.

This movie has to be the most underrated war movie made.
Is this a Star Wars Crossover 😂
Did my People had Green Lasers
And yes I know my English is Bad and yes I'm German☺️
And I know there were no Lasers 😂
Tracers mate
Yet not as much as they show in the movie. Every 5 bullets should be 1 tracer.
You guys should do a carnage count for The Revenant! Such a brutal film.
I haven't seen it yet! Planning on probably doing it in January
The tally of the Tank Kills are off. I see them going form 6 to 3 for a Sherman. When they should all be 5.
You mean southeast
THE FINAL SCENE WAS RIDICULOUS
Sonic ring sound Again?
Carnage Counts, Do Shovel Knight kill Count, is a Good game,
The second you view it as an action flick, that thing becomes awesome.
So unrealistic....that last stand is so impossible due to the fact that germans weren't incompetent.
They still lost and they were the enemy.... Who gives a shit
@@yourevilhalf1413 They lost yeah, I can't deny that but people who likes history back here in the philippines gives a shit about realism
@@notspectre1051 then watch a documentary not a movie from Hollywood. Where entertainment is valued alot more than realism
Sorry you came here for an accurate historical movie about tanks from Hollywood? You’re quite the genius
What’s fury about?
Big tank go boom
Well said buddy😂
Also I think it’s best if you increase every Death tank one more to it. Because a Sherman consist of a commander, driver, gunner, loader and a machine gunner
I now i sound like a douch but when the germans were cheking the tank and they all fought i dont see why they didint go for the explosive wepons they had
That's the Bess movie!!!!!👍😎💕💪
Coooool fury💕
