Cloud surfing is something I always dreamed of doing. Especially on an overcast day when the sun won't be seen. Just something wonderful about that level of freedom.
Have heard good things about using RainX on them. It's a windscreen coating that causes water to bead and roll away. Think it's got wax in it or something.
There's still an issue with condensation. It's colder higher up, so as descend the cold surfaces can collect condensation. This a common problem that photographers experience in winter as move cold gear indoors, lens, etc. tend to fog over. Having good airflow over lens can help, as can a hydrophobic lens coating. (but would require application to both sides of a lens)
Cloud surfing is simply the best - love the views 😇 ... glad you got it back without the rain getting into the flight controller ... do you have some plastic coating (isolation spray) on the PCBs?
No protection, but there's very little risk of water going all the way to the FC, it's far in the rear bay and protected with some kind of little foam wall just in case

Fantastic flight! Love the clouds.
Toujours au top. Merci pour la maj du tuto overlay. Hate de voir l'osd du radar inav dans vos lunettes HD 😉
Bien sympa cette séance de cloud surfing ;)
one day soon I'll be joining ya.
GBLZ
Il va falloir ajouter les essuie-glaces 😅
A quick circuit of the feild to clear the camera lens...At least you can fly, it won't stop blowing here...😳🇬🇧
Nice! This looks like my experience with clouds! They're WET! Maybe we can find something hydrophobic to put on the camera lens so we can see better?

Do you always fly whit R9M on expresselr firmware and it's good performance are you did fan mod on it?
yes R9M with ELRS, no fan mode, never an issue, most of the time it's between 10 and 50mW
Ok, thanks!
