l had one sum years ago , lovely car reliable, easy to work on, loads of torque great fun to drive wish l still had it ,sold it due to it failed the mot on the sub-frame being rotten very common with these .
Yes Steve, I understand the subframes can be a weak spot for tin worm if left unattended. I was extremely fortunate that my car had been very well looked after, so needed very little doing to it when I bought her.
Really great video, you have done a very good job was restoring the car. I have owned a 1963 Morris 1100 and a 1964 MG 1100 really great cars for the times. On my Morris 1100 i experienced glue marks on the inside of the car - I think it was caused in manufacture the workers had to turn out cars very fast on the assembly lines. Well done. Stay Safe.
That glue you removed was typical of BL , very nice car love it 👌, make sure you keep on top of it as a lot of these struggled to pass there first M.O.T 👍
Many thanks Carl. I'm pleased to say I have undertaken voluntary mot's since owning her, & she has passed each time without any advisories! Long may it continue......
@@andypandywalters Good man she's a great car, well worth looking after , for future reference you won't need it anymore but Groom at Halfords is fantastic for taking what I call tartar stains out of the headliners , takecare and thanks for sharing her Andy 👍
Many thanks Geoff. Indeed, very (typical ?) '70's styling which I guess is one of the reasons I like the car so much. I'm getting used to the interior colour!
Pity your video hasn't had more views but I enjoyed it. In the past I have had 2 x Riley Kestrel 1300's. An 1100 Vanden Plas and a 1300. I have had the MG 1100 but never the 1300GT. I am quietly looking out for any of the above but rarely are they as solid as yours. I agree the seats are a little bright but they look in fine condition, as you say "beggers" and all that. Thanks for the vid, it was nice to see it...
Thanks for your reply and kind comments Richard. I made two (similar) videos about the car, & 'video tour 1' enjoys more views than the one you watched. Have a look at the website 'carandclassic' as i believe they often have variants of the ADO16 for sale. And yes, the upholstery is in fine fettle !
They sound great. Any pics of your Morris ? With hindsight I now know my interior is 'Limeflower' although the seats or door cards have faded over the years!
Thanks Allan. You are indeed correct about the colour and interior. I have made another video which you may not have seen where the car is being driven !
Lindo.. Nice car.. Greetings from chile
Many thanks. Best wishes from the UK
Blue!! Beautiful! I only remember orange GTs! Thanks for sharing.
Lovely little car!
My brother had a Mini clubman 1275-GT, with the same engine, it sounds so familiar, happy memories.
I'd have one in a heartbeat!
My Dad had one of these. Fabulous car, amazing condition.

I bought one of these brand new in 1972, K reg same body colour and interior, loved it to bits, the worst thing I did was to sell it after two years 😒
Great videos & car
Many thanks Andrew

@@Jaxs2 Thanks again Carl.
A good friend of mine's late Dad owned one like this in the same colour in the 70's
I really have to do a double take looking at this!
Your interior is superb; a fine example of the early 70s aesthetic.
Many thanks Geoff. Indeed, very (typical ?) '70's styling which I guess is one of the reasons I like the car so much. I'm getting used to the interior colour!
Nice one, mine used to blow the manifold underneath, great car ..
Thank you George

I have Mgb gt with same teal paint and autumn leaf interior. I love it
My Morris 1100 in Connaught green has a lime/avocado interior
They sound great. Any pics of your Morris ?

@@andypandywalters aye , iv pics , can’t post them here tho
The car was made in 1972 (registered in July) & currently has covered a little over 82,000 miles
Mine was a '93 L in Blaze with a navy interior - wish I still had it. Yours is an absolute gem. Is yours Teal Blue with Lime Flower interior?
Thanks Allan.
