Bnb's in melty are actually very simple for the most part. Its just that C Satsuki is one of the few characters with jump normals that can't be jump canceled so her bnb is rather complicated compared to the rest of the cast.
Hi everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed this video!! thanks so much for all the nice comments!! I came back to this after a while (nearly a year and a half) and with a more clear perspective i wanted to say that, while it might've been obvious, most of these combos aren't entirely optimal (some are, i did do tons of research), but in the end i decided to go with what's simple, gets the job done, and most importantly easy to consistently finish! my policy when it comes to combos in general in fighting games is that it's always better to drop 100 damage off your combo if it allows you to more comfortably and consistently get it right every time, and as i explained that's reflected in the video. a lot of tutorials/combo vids/whatever can be really overwhelming, especially if you're new to the game, so i hope mine was easy to understand and learn from! thanks again!!!
Good vid overall. I like the Sacchin Signs, and your attention to detail shows in the presentation. A few suggestions for improving future 'tutorial' vids. Record in a 4:3 aspect ratio so the footage is not stretched. I know that people play at the res they like, but recording 4:3 footage in 16:9 does reduce quality. Going along with that, but more of a personal opinion, is to make the whole vid, transitions, text, and all, at the same resolution. A good example where an exception would be made are the times you zeroed in on sections of the screen to demonstrate something specific. Less important, also more of a personal opinion, don't include the input display. I think it makes the screen too cluttered, and doesn't really add much in return. Again, good vid.
hi! sorry for the late reply, i dont check these often enough.. really appreciate the tips! i've been playing on 16:9 ever since.. forever so i never noticed! not sure i understood what you meant with making everything the same resolution, i know what resolution is of course but in the context of video editing i'm kind of confused. (also what does "zeroing in" mean?) this was the first time i ever made a tutorial of any sort, full text guide included (or had any kind of real editing done in a video). mostly for this video i believe the input display is needed, as i aimed to be as comprehensive as possible with it, input display really helps some people understand the exact timing of everything shown.
What I meant by making everything the same resolution is to not include letter boxing (black vertical or horizontal stripes along the top/bottom or left/right parts of the screen). Basically, use the whole screen. Like at your title screen, and 0:05 - 0:20, its clear that you are sing the whole screen, but 0:21 - 0:36 where Satsuki is holding the sign, there are huge amounts of the screen not used. What I meant by 'zeroing in' is 'focused on'. Like at 1:59. It's shooting terminology, where you fire a weapon at a target to make sure that you hit where you aim.
I love this character, but i just can´t get the first j (C) to connect consistently. I´ve been practicing it for hours now, it either comes out late or doesn´t even come out. Is extremely frustrating.
It mostly comes down to muscle memory. I had to really think about pressing C after after jumping when learning, but now I can *almost* press them at the same time and it will work. Pressing them literally at the same time will cause Satsuki to jump and do nothing. The smallest delay will fix this. Edit: op replied in a different comment on this. Look at the input display on the left in the vid. After pressing Up to jump, he presses C as early as 1 frame after jumping, or as late as 4 frames.
+beatsme2 hi! which one exactly? do you mean 214b 623[B]? it sometimes whiffs in very specific spacings (and the timing can be a bit odd at first), in which case you can just use 623C since it goes into that anyway or, if it's easier for you to skip 623[B] entirely to make it more consistent overall. if you mean 623[B]/236B 5B, then it's (again) a timing thing that's kinda odd at first but will turn easy very quickly with enough practice/experimenting. sorry for the late reply!
I know exactly what you mean! It took a while to see if it was me but its , in fact, the timing that needs to be perfect. Overall the combo does work and ..damn you're right that her blood heat needs to be build up so it makes her the monster she is in damage and speed. Thanks, Xedders!
Whenever I go for the 623A after my 3C I either end up hitting them but not knocking them into the air (it hits but they flop to the ground) or I end up simply grabbing them!
Hi sorry for the late reply! Are you charging 623A? (by holding down the button rather than simply inputting 623A) the annotation for "[A]" means you have to charge the move, sorry if that's unclear. Also, you have to input it right after 3C, with as little delay as possible. Vs kouma and ries her combos are significantly harder, as mentioned in the text guide, but still possible. make sure you practice on other characters first.
Anyameer OHH MYGODDDD I forgot I even made this comment! I stopped playing for a while but now I'm playing with my friends again and ODDLY ENOUGH I WAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE NOT KNOWING I TRIED THIS COMBO WITH HER BEFORE how strange..! But thanks that clears it up and wow I'm dumb so thanks ^^""
But hehe I guess I have a new problem related to practice / execution.. Whenever I use the correct 623[A] the bot / player air techs before my j.[C] sigh I guess I'm just not fast enough but when I try to go faster I end up spamming or just doing 236C instead of 3C (Before 623[A])!! URGHHH >
@@SkullRiderVideos currently having this issue as well. Though I just started practicing and probably get better at it the more I slam my face into it lol.
@@estrogwen I have spent the past couple hours trying this but you HAVE to do do the 2 C & 3 C before the 623[A] or you won't have enough hitstun to hit the j.[C]!! So you have to practice that part as one whole unit
the timing on the j.[c] is pretty precise, you need to hold jump, or jump forward right after 623[a] and then time your j.[c] as early as possible but not too early because then it might not come out. it's tough at first, but you'll get the hang of it after a bit of practice the steam version is the exact same by the way!

Thank you so much for this video! I'm glad that I found this.
This must be the work of enemy's stand
How to consistantly land the charge jC after 623A in the first combo?
I love Satsuki
The game doesn't even know what to do with that life bar in the last combo.
this game is nutty bro
You are AMAZING!!! Thanks so much
