I first heard of him in 1979 from the British fuqara of Sh Abdul Qadir AlMurabbit. Sad that most American imams do not connect us to our great African Islamic heritage.
Have been listening to lectures/ khutba of Sheikh Hakim Quick for the last ten years, he always brings forth the most engaging of topics. Sheikh has amazing delivery skills, and that cool sounding voice is an add-on to it.
I do sincerely believe that a lot of practicing Muslims here in the west have a lot to learn from you Dr. quick and what they can do is not let people who are still living in the Homeland what’s happening here. but I think I hear people talk about that when it comes to the Palestine debate. You lend your support necessarily you don’t follow the mistake of demanding orthodoxy.

Not as much as about him, but let’s say the degradation of keeping the faith in the African continent. Have you found the answer to the notion why do the Africans in the Arabs typically tend to practice differently?

*Nigeria* is Muslim today bcoz of *Shehu Usman Dan Fodio* who founded the *Sokoto Caliphate* in Nigeria. He was a great *Mujaddid* of his time.
