    I also use these and I also am a “bead snob.” I also wanted to have them at a vertical angle, so I got a stand for a laptop that adjusts the angle of the slant to whatever I want. It is the perfect solution!

    Everything you said on your video was exactly what happened to me and I’m so happy that I stumbled on this and I am thrilled that there’s a different way to do this and I thank you so much. I was just laughing at myself so hard every time you took another container out, I have thrown all those other containers out and started to go back to bags which is annoying so now I’m gonna try this. Thank you so much.

    You know what I love about you? You are a true artisan, an artist who can do anything. It is rare to find anyone who can do more than one kind of art, or one kind of craft. You have to do a video where you show a repertoire of your entire body of work. I know that is gonna be so hard, cause we introverts tend to think it’s no big deal, and nobody really cares... but you really really need to make a video of all your work.

      Mrs.C, sometimes I think you can see into my head and read my thoughts! It is very hard for me to share my work and I honestly do feel like most people don't care about all the little stuff I create. I enjoy it when I find like minded people who understand my drive to create things, even if none of it matters. I often regret that my love of trying new things means that I rarely stick with something long enough to become truly proficient at it. I'd love to be a master of one specific craft, like oil painting, or metalsmithing, or drawing, but I dabble in so many different areas that I have never been able to dedicate the time to truly mastering one craft. I'll share some other hobbies here on the channel if you all are interested. That's a lot of content to create! Thank you for your sweet comment! ❤❤❤

      Melanie Sullivan you know who was like us? The one artist who dabbled in just about anything? Leonardo da Vinci! He was never tired to try new things and create new things. Eventually we all become masters at one craft. The other day I was thinking about this very thing, and how I often try something new and make something really beautiful but the moment I get done with it I go on to something else. If I had to sit and think which one art form I would choose to do for the rest of my life, I don’t think I could choose. For example, I learned to crochet when I was in fifth grade, but then I didn’t really make anything with my crochet until a few years ago when I decided I wanted to crochet some garments. Slowly I learned by following TH-cam videos. One year I literally crochet every single day, so much so that I probably made over 150 very complex items from hats to bedspreads, jackets, sweaters, shawls, and everything in between. I bought so much yarn that I would need another year or two to actually finish crocheting with it. Then I discovered junk journals, and started learning to do that. This of course on top of drawing and painting, jewelry making, embroidery, quilting, and sculpting. If I had the space I would pick up sculpting in alabaster again. Speaking of space, i think that’s the only thing that stops me from doing everything I want to make. I literally need at least 1100 square feet of space with wall to wall storage and outside space in order for me to store all my things and be able to make the things I want to make. I think if one wanted to see all the things that pop into my head all they would have to do is look at all my Pinterest boards and be able to do a psychological analysis and create my profile, the same way profilers do with serial killers. LOL .... so when you work... do you prefer silence, music, talk radio/talking videos, or Netflix? Or is it basically whatever floats your boat at the moment?

    I have every single container you have, and I’m switching over to Elizabeth Ward also. I think I have about 20 of the Elizabeth ward. But I’m a bead junkie so I still have to use others. And those clear hard plastic were the worst I threw every one I had away.

    Thank you for sharing your bead storage system. Yesterday I ordered some from Amazon. I am a problem Solver or at least I do a lot of thinking. You posted this 2 years ago so I'm wondering if your husband made something so you could stand them up? Also to label the containers so you could see the color of beads, you might try using clear address stickers. I can't wait to get mine. I am just starting my beading adventure. But I have looked on internet for storeage solutions. At least now after your sharing, I have a good idea how to start.

    Since this video is over a year old, you might've figured out how stand them up. I would hot glue a piece of pvc pipe to one of the long sides that fit under that edge. It might work to help stand them. Just a thoyght. I guess I'm going to Amazon. Thanks for the video.

    Help! I'm new at this and recently purchased my first bunch of beads. They came in a little box, each in it's own compartment. I can't work out of this because they get mixed up, so I purchased one of your organizers from Amazon. Problem - how do I transfer the beads from the original box to the new ones? I can't just dump them because all of the beads would fall out. What do I do?

    Why don’t you write the item on the enclosed labels then place the label on the top (white lid) of the container. Then you can see your colors and not have to use a sharpie and write directly on the container 😊

    I'm VERY frustrated because I can't find ANYWHERE on the internet... (& here I thought you could find ANY of this kind of info on the internet)... that answers my question about these containers that go in this storage system.
    I want to *KNOW* before I buy them, HOW MANY GRAMS of seed beads each of the container sizes will hold. I think she mentioned that the TINY ones hold about 15 grams. But I NEED to know the amount the OTHER sized ALSO hold.
    DOES ANYONE HERE KNOW...? Thank you in advance.

    • @MelanieSullivan
      @MelanieSullivan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Linda, I think that information might not be out there because it probably depends on the size and material of the beads as to how many grams it would hold. Since a gram is a measure of weight, not volume, a small container might hold 15 grams of size 11/0 glass seed beads, but might only hold 11 grams of 8/0 beads. The beads I buy at my local bead store have been repackaged from bulk and do not have the gram weight on the tubes, only the brand, color, and price.
      I hope you can find what you're looking for. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer directly? Here's the link to their contact page: www.beadstoragesolutions.com/contact-us/
      Maybe they can help!

    • @MelanieSullivan
      @MelanieSullivan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The smallest containers (TINY) hold about 10-15 grams of seed beads depending on the bead size. Each container seems to be approximately double the size of the smaller container as you go up. The SMALL is the size of two TINY containers, the MEDIUM containers are double the size of the SMALL, etc., etc. I hope that helps!
