Thank you for sharing your story. Very inspirational I’m thinking of getting the Onefinity cnc. Not sure which model to get but I know that it will be a Onefinity. I am a wood carver but that takes a lot of time. Hopefully soon i will be selling on Etsy.
appreciate the comment, let me know if you need anything and we will get to it. I don’t have a onefinity but fundamentally I understand its better, however, the customer service that carbide3d provides is non-comparable, the best ever
Yes! Thanks for the comment! I had a Shapeoko which sits with me dear in my heart, but from my understanding of CNC machines, even though I don't have a Onefinity, it gives you so much flexibility. Try and get a machine that can cut at least 4'x4' in cut area so that you can literally put in the whole sheet of material without having to cut it.
Thanks! Just trying to pay it forward. Let others know that it can be done and that I have made a living of Etsy. I want others to know that they can trust what I say, because I am documenting what has worked for me, not giving crazy "guru" advice or anything of the sort.
Yes please show us how to make that sign 🪧!! Also what type of wood do you use for that sign 🪧 ?? Love your story to man, I would definitely like the consulting!
Awesome! I will get started on that tomorrow, I use pine since I am in Puerto Rico and it's the most common one and the one with the best accesible margin for my Etsy Shop.
Just came across your channel, I love how its not tons of editing and feels more real. I will be following along your journey this year. Last November I purchased a Smaller 55w laser and started making wooden items, mainly ornaments. I did around 1100$ this first Christmas while working 50 hour weeks at my day job. I'm slowly adding more and more items to my etsy shop trying to stay a few months ahead of each holiday. I feel by next Christmas I will have hundreds of items listed and available to make. I really enjoy making wood and acrylic items and the extra income never hurts too.
@ Yes it does! I purchased a Xtool P2 55w co2. I originally bought it to engrave tumblers but noticed a lot of sellers for personalized ornaments on Etsy so listed like 15 items and surprisingly they started selling. Right now I do Etsy and Facebook, is there any other sites you would recommend for personalized stuff I can also list my items on?
@ Amazon Handmade for sure and your website. Try including a coupon or a discount on a printed paper inside each package. The next time they purchase they will most likely purchase from you.
I just started an Etsy shop in October and made my first sale and November. I’ve been making sales everyday now. I sell items centered around “that girl” energy or luxury designer aesthetic. Most of it is wall art both digital and POD. I use Pinterest a lot but haven’t spent money on ads yet. It is possible to grow even as a beginner
Great story. Thank you for sharing your business and process. I have been on Etsy since 2016 and have a fraction of your sales. I am horrible about adding listings and that seems to be the main trouble. Did you do all this as a 1-man shop? That is a lot of signs!!!
Thanks for commenting, I do have 1 employee help me out with sanding and staining, but it was mostly a 1 man shop. To this date I work about 6-7 days a week so that is the reason to start my TH-cam Channel and private coaching, to see if I can cut back a little on the days at the shop.

@@One.Step.ForwardYT true! The key is to list an item a day, sounds hard but small steps make you at least a 6 figure earner. What you buy? Omtech?

You said Home Depot is most expensive place to buy wood, where do you recommend buying wood from? I'd like to get started.
@@SLCMotor do you have a lumber yard? I try to buy it from my local wood store.
@themakerbasement Thanks
Just got a 3d printer myself. Hoping I can start something to bring in some kinda income. I have no idea what I’m doing though🤦🏻♂️
