this is one of the best QF match ever. easily as good as one of those big tournament's final match. Congrat to the Thai, excellent perfomance against Zheng/Huang who played great too in the match
Seeing the Thai coach on the side between sets really made me feel it was kind of a way for him to behave that suits and helps the Thai to stay focus, keep calm and reach their a game. I'm gonna make myself a tea mug saying just that, keep calm and your reach your better self, with the Thai coach's bonze like figure on it 😌 What a wonderful match ! Congrats to all 4, semi final's gonna be a treat if Puavaranukroh/Taerattanachai can keep up with this form. And very nice to see Chris Langridge on the commenting seat, miss him in the french coaching staff
Don't get me wrong, Thai well deserves this SF spot, they keeps thriving to find their best form, but don't overthink it, a tournament has Liang/Wang, Zheng/Huang and Victor Axelsen eliminated before SF is UNREAL💀
@@ziyanzheI missed the times of Cai/Fu, Koo/Tan, Jung/Lee, Kido/Setiawan, and Boe/Mogensen! Unfortunately, they are all retired except Setiawan and Kido and Jung are no longer with us, very sad indeed...
The Thais were fantastic in this comeback match! Leading by 3 points multiple times after the 3rd game interval is a big advantage, and it indeed proved that a pair like Zheng/Huang were unable to secure a win in that situation this time...
This in unarguably, one of the best match in 2024, one of BassPopor's best match and especially Popor's best match!! Back watching it again today, after Siwei announcing his retirement and BassPopor is divorced right now, so we wont see them meeting on court anymore in the future...
Guys, seek to 48:06, where Huang does a cross court net shot, slow it down to 0.25. the shuttle moves across while Huang's racket is facing outwards. How did that shuttle fly there? Am I the only one seeing this? Nevermind, it was Zheng who hit it. my goodness that got me so confused because Dechapols shot looked like such a nice tight net shot I didn't think it flew back to mid-court to Zheng and rather thought Huang took it.
Well played all four players, a great match to watch. For me, the commentators talked far too much, neither really saying anything other than the obvious. Less talk would be better for viewers, Gill Clark style.
Zheng’s ego saw him and his partner’s ultimate fall. His hard smashes lack some serious placement and always see him running all over the place instead of winning the point. I don’t think I missed out too many matches between the world no. 1 and other top 10 players in the past couple of years, and since last season it was so obvious his hard smashes has very little effect on the top players and even some European pairs the Chinese played against, yet Zheng is still not changing…
@@noelching6568 Don't even try. This guy will say ZSW is finished even if he was playing out of this world. In fact, he did as ZSW is finished when they lost at AE in 2022. Look how that turned out. He's nowhere to be seen when they win though.
@@noelching6568have you not seen how well Chae/Jeon respond to his hard smashes? Even Higashino had a relatively good fight-backs when Zheng continuously targeted her at the game the Japanese ended up winning last time. Sapsiree surely outperformed today in this particular match.

this was on of the best games i have ever watched in my life
Awesome match! This should have been the final.
Yes, 💯💯
one of the best games in decades, long rallies 108! incredible defences from both sides, massive attacks from both sides.

They have their own time in every game. You dont expect them to win always. I guess you're the one overthinking.
Common, one game doesn't mean anything...
Liang/Wang are still inconsistent. I don’t think they’re on the level of the other two

Well played both teams.
This is the one of the most exciting mixed doubles match we have had in the past few years! I hope the Olympics final will be a repeat of this!
Will it be the same venue?
Yes it will
@@ziyanzheYep! I think the French open was moved to March to test out this venue!
@@callum.ewen4Kind of worrying for Zheng/Huang’s prospects
I like how chill the Thai coach is😅
Yep the way he is,sometimes you will see his smile and Lough.😅😅
He's definitely a good one: always calm and composed...
Coach even says "please" when talking to players.
What a wonderful match love it

Zheng's hard smash works fine when playing against other XD but Sapsiree's defense is just way too strong
