I've just resurrected my 1979 Rega Planar 3, Fitted with the Ortofon VMS20E MKII Cartridge, Had a hell of a job getting a new genuine replacement stylus for it, But now it sound's great, I'd forgotten how good vinyl sounds.Great Video by the way.
Used to have rega planar 3 with rb300. Amp was luxman together with wharfedale diamond 1...time long gone, today just listening to sportify and youtube like this😁

That in combination with a great pressing - sounds fantastic on my Pro-ject primary. Good cartridge (Ortofon OM5E) but not so great tonearm. Alignment is good, but cheap and small.

I had over 400 vinyl albums from Sugar Hill's first 12 inch single to Rush ZZ Top..............I had country even the Smokey and the Bandit.........soundtrack...........well 400 is a lot of 12in vinyl in my opinion so long story short I moved and left them at my mothers house she sold all of them for 25 dollars..........I had an unopened Rush Moving Pictures 1985..............I mean damn
I have to say the 2M Bronze has quite an impressive separation, but the American Columbia pressing of this (to my ears) sounds better. The last time I listened to it I was using an AT150MLX. Hard to say if it's the cartridge, preamp, loading or even the cartridge itself without being able to do an a-b comparison

It's a Rega RB700 arm - so, yes, it's a great arm.

I had over 400 vinyl albums from Sugar Hill's first 12 inch single to Rush ZZ Top..............I had country even the Smokey and the Bandit.........soundtrack...........well 400 is a lot of 12in vinyl in my opinion so long story short I moved and left them at my mothers house she sold all of them for 25 dollars..........I had an unopened Rush Moving Pictures 1985..............I mean damn

I have to say the 2M Bronze has quite an impressive separation, but the American Columbia pressing of this (to my ears) sounds better. The last time I listened to it I was using an AT150MLX. Hard to say if it's the cartridge, preamp, loading or even the cartridge itself without being able to do an a-b comparison
