  • In this video, I go over two of Crye Precision’s notorious load bearing plate carriers and compare them. My personal favorite carrier is the Crye AVS and I highly recommend it. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to comment down below.

Ive got a CPC, i reccomend it if you have to carry a lot of weight
It was especially designed to carry heavy loads (35lb+) and is damn good at it, moreso than the AVS to my knowledge

@@breacher4423 They both are great for carrying weight but the only problem is that the CPC tends to put more weight on the users shoulders so depending on the load you’re carrying, you’ve gotta have a good shoulder and back build. For AVS, the newer harness helps distribute the weight more evenly and although its less sturdy it helps relieve some weight on your shoulders. I try not to fill the CPC to the maximum capacity for this reason. I believe its only like this since the CPC is an outdated AVS and the main cause is probably the design of the CPC’s harness near the shoulder straps.

@@VamarStuffthe biggest thing with the CPC is that the harness sizing is picky. If you wind up maxing out the tightness of the harness its fucking worthless and doesnt help with the weight at all

Does the AVS come with the buckle on the left shoulder and if so, can you remove/replace it with a cobra buckle?

@@mmc81821 Yes, the AVS comes with the buckle. I have seen it modded with a cobra buckle as-well.

    How adjustable is the avs

Its really adjustable. You can adjust the harness and shoulder straps. Shouldn’t be a problem as long as you get your correct size.

CPCs run far cheaper than avs’ in terms of second hand sale. Also not to mention but the harness on the CPC is far stronger than the avs but also a lot less modular

Yeah, forgot to cover second hand sales. But yeah, the harness does make up for less modularity like you said. Never really had problems with either one. Thanks for correcting me 👍

Get the Shekkin Gears AVS in Multicam Black

If I do get a shekkins gear AVS, Im looking towards multicam specifically because its more common among the military and tactical community rather than multicam black. Hope you understand!
