Sacrifice - The Exorcism Demo

- In 1985, a local record store employee and friend of the band, financed the recording of this demo in exchange for the profits made by selling the tape at his shop. Sacrifice agreed, and released The Exorcism demo featuring new original songs. It was a very raw and heavy release and very collectable today.
Later that year, Sacrifice opened a show in Toronto for Exodus, who were on their first North American tour. Sacrifice credits the growth of their band and the Toronto underground metal scene in general to their appearance at this show. As a result of their growing popularity the band signed a contract with Diabolic Force.

CELTIC frost came out the same time, best time ever for thrash metal
CF came out in 82 if you count HH. Plus they released Morbid Tales in 84 after that To Mega Therion. I'm not sure what CF has to do with this though

Very cool...
I grew up on sacrifice and slaughter from Toronto. I played guitar for BFG and was heavily influenced by their awesome style. I still love them for their super raw sound, only modern band I like as much is Satyricon.

First time listening to this demo in it's enterity, and maaan, and i'm liking it more with each listen! New with listening to the work of Sacrifice, through a good friend, checked out a signing of the band hosted at Sonic Boom Records in Toronto, cool time there..it's certainly gonna be an amazing time through October, the rest of this year and the upcoming year of listening to great Metal band's 🤟🤘🇨🇦

The Demo is better than Torment in Fire!
@Geno Porreca Everyone's have their own opinion, if he thinks the demo is better, well we cannot do something about it, good for him, if you think torment is better, good for you.
First track def a little tighter. Guitars tuned differently, perhaps. Some producers hate doing (preproduction) demos because the actual production often has a different energy.
