I tend to agree but for the most part these bottles aren’t counterfeit unless you’re purchasing from a shady place. Also at the price point even though it’s more than a few hundred dollars I’d imagine they counterfeit things like exotic and rare wines over mass produced scotches.
@@jonathanNYC1 I hope so I bought from a well known online wine shop but after watching some videos even well known NY city liquor stores have been caught selling fakes. If you go to e-bay you see tons of JWB used bottles being sold there for one reason. My concern was the top plastic heat shrink isn't very tightly shrunk on the cork and top of the bottle and when I opened the box it had a faint smell of liquor, lol.

What good is the serial # on JW if there's is no place online that I can find that shows your bottle is not counterfeit?

You shouldn't store whiskey laying down, the cork is not good for the whiskey, no matter if it's still sealed or not, always upright.
