    Ramin is the kind of guy who would never have to sing this song because no girl in her right mind would ever leave him! Lol. But Hadley has this kind of vulnerability that makes you think that some girl could have definitely taken him for granted and left. They are both so equally matched, the two would have had to be the best of friends or the worst of enemies, no in-betweens. And I would happily sit and listen to them both sing all day long! :-)

      Okay, it's been forever since you commented on this, but 1) It's still true and 2) I'm listening to this song again in 2017, because DUH. And all I wanted to say is that I want them to do their duet the way Anton Zetterholm and Riccardo Greco (now there's a voice, holy crap) did it. Look it up.

    As much as I enjoy and love and worship Ramin's voice... I think Hadley's version has something more. I can't really tell what, just a certain something to it that makes me like his version more than this one. Which is still great, of course.

    I love this song no matter who sings it but (and I'm saying this as a total Ramin fan) I think Hadley has the edge.
    Having said that, I'd love to see Ramin singing this live as he always puts such passion into his acting

    I love both versions; Hadley's is so powerful, Ramin's so emotional - in his version it sounds so raw, specially in the end, he sounds like he lost hope, like he does not feel like the girl will go with him but he is trying anyway. I love it

    Love Ramin, this is just Hadley's song, inevitably, irrevocably. Warm intensity versus high drama. Have heard Ramin do sweet and warm, Radames for example.

    I love this vesion, Hadley Fraser's version, and Nicholas Rodriguez's version. They are all different yet all emotional. It a beautiful song that can be sung wonderfully by many different people.

    This is such a beautiful song! Thanks for posting the whole thing, I've only heard the 2nd half of Ramin's version! I also love Hadley Fraser's version which is a little more powerful but they are both Fantastic singers!

    I don't think there should be any contest! They're both incredible in their own ways, I'm personally more of a Hadley fan than Ramin, though I love them both, but I prefer Ramin's version a little more, though I'll always love Hadley and his version will make me cry. They're both lovely men, why don't we just sit back and appreciate that their incredible voices?!

    Its kind of funny because the song works for both Ramin and Hadley. Especially after doing Phantom of the Opera live at the Royal Albert Hall. Because it is kind of like both the Phantom and Raoul's thoughts during Down Once More.

    The way he sings it is different from the way Hadley sings it. I'm probably biased cause I like Ramin a lot, but I prefer his version. The emotion is so raw in his voice! Wish there's a better quality version.

    Hadley's video has better quality and you can see his emotions throughout the song which fills in the gaps vocally. I'm not disagreeing with you it's just that those two factors are pretty important over the internet especially

    @TheGreenified I had heard that and I can't wait! :D

  • @silverwilly

    I'm so glad I could hear this sang by Ramin, so I need not wonder, coz I can't help imagining the Phantom singing this to Christine, after regretting his actions of running away from her the night before. "Leaving notes" seems pretty Phantom to me.. haha.
    However, as good as Ramin sang it, yes, this song is more suited for Hadley. Hadley just sounds bit more vulnerable (which is perfect for this song) while Ramin sounds bit more assertive.

  • @NinjaKittyRules1

    desperation? in my head, that is the main difference. Hadley sounds much more desperate for this woman to understand

    I don't know if anyone realized, but this version of the song is a half step higher than the original. The song just wasn't meant to be in this key... Scott Alan wouldn't have wanted it this way.

    • @JeMs4LiFe
      @JeMs4LiFe  8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Scott Alan is the pianist on this recording... It was one of his many London concerts a few years ago. So Scott Alan was very happy with it being played and sung like this, as he was the one who changed it...

      You can't compare them. They both do the song justice. They're both amazing singers and if you finished listening you wouldn't be disappointed.

    • @peacelovingredheadbekind7149
      @peacelovingredheadbekind7149 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nevaehhorst-wade5163 Yeah, you can compare them, to me it’s impossible not to...I just found this, so maybe it’s because I have heard Hadley’s version sooo many times and also that Scott Allen literally wrote the song FOR and WITH Hadley Fraser, and has called it “Hadley’s song” that I agree with @JaviSchraiber, and prefer Hadley’s version actually much better (& I made it to the end)...his voice is just richer and he has more range when he sings. IMO Ramin did a good job, but I almost felt like he was imitating Hadley...so for me this will always be Hadley’s song. 💕✌️&😁

    • @peacelovingredheadbekind7149
      @peacelovingredheadbekind7149 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Although I too would welcome a duet! Their voices complement each other well.

  • @drymant
    @drymant 12 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Hadley has a far richer, sweeter, more natural voice. Ramin's is too forced and over-trained.

    • @brettdewsbury3382
      @brettdewsbury3382 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ramin is raw and natural. He has never had vocal training. He openly admits he never had singing lessons and doesn't know what half of the musicology means when people have asked in the past. Some people just have a natural talent for certain things I guess.
