Time stops for no man...😞 Hits me more each day. Hope you're enjoying life! What I wouldn't give to go back with what I know now though...miss those carefree days
@@RizlackFr. I'll be 46 soon enough, and I keep wishing that I still had my kids energy (they're 3 and 6). Instead I am like Danny Glover in the Lethal Weapon movies, uttering "I am getting too old for this shit."
This may have already been said, but MJ gave the green light on them making this video. He loved this version so much his family invited AAF to play it at his memorial tribute, which they did. The video is full of so many homages to MJ you have to watch it many times to catch them all. If I remember correctly, they did the video on the cheap and recruited their neighborhood to help make it. They have another song called "Movies" with a great video worth watching.
This is the only cover of MJ I can accept as they have asked him if it was ok & also showed it to him & he accepted & loved it plus all of those hidden easter eggs, you've gotta love this, especially if you're a huge MJ Fan/Moonwalker
The kid dancing is doing it in front of the home MJ grew up in. And the three girls holding the sign up is a recognition of MJ’s fan base in the asian countries.
The impossible lean is real, same technique that MJ used in his video, bolts in the stage and socketed heels on their shoes, allowing for that little bit of stage magic. It's a good cover too...
There's over 50 Easter eggs and little segments paying homage too videos and songs and the man MJ,, MJ himself worked with AAF in the making of this video it's awesome?.
So crazy, watched this video a bunch of times when it first came out and didn’t catch the nod to Thriller with the girl in the wolf mask and letterman’s jacket
I have always and forever will love MJ...and this song. It doesn't surprise me MJ approved, because they really did him proud. Definitely on the best covers list, because while they made it theirs they still stayed true to the song! That's the mark of a great cover, and it's rare.
This cover was hilarious when it first dropped, the music video is a parody of everything, it’s excellent. It’s up there with the best covers of all time along with Marilyn Manson covers
Im going to give you a fire❤. MJ is the goat. Didnt you watch Moonwalker? Back in the day there was no race, we just raced to MJ vids and Pepsi. I really feel MJ brought everyone together
In order to do the lean, there was an invention. The bottom of the dancer's shoes have a slit with a lock at the end. There is a sort of screw that is one ground and when they "click" the screw into the slot, it holds them to the ground. Guess who invented this and has the patent in his name: MJ.
I don’t know if someone said this already but other than the monkey and the glove in that scene the floor lighting up at times is a tribute to mj’s song Billie Jean
Michaels music is timeless and will last forever. Its timeless because he didn’t follow trends… he started trends… but nobody’s as good as the original.
MJ actually designed the shoes himself to lean like that and held the patent forever. And as someone else mentioned he green lit releasing the video when he saw it.
What part is what is that is that part about?... The music or when he steps on the lit sidewalk just like billie jean video? What part is what that part is about?
I wonder how many people get the King of the Hill characters referencing that MJ was the King! So many easter eggs in this video you would think Marvel Studios made it 😂
I've always believed that a cover should bring a fresh view to a song - which is absolutely the case here. Another example would be Gary Numan's electronic classic "Are Friends Electric?" which got a blues cover by Chris Whitley in 2005. There's also a band called "Moody Bluegrass" which does bluegrass covers of The Moody Blues - they're pretty good.
last time I check MJs pet Monkey 'Bubbles' is still around in Florida in a Ape Sanctuary hes very old monkey now btw Bubbles can do the moonwalk aswell :)
I've been been binge watching reactions to this all day today and I learned something new... all my life I thought the ad lib towards the end was "Annie" and I learned that it's "I don't know". Whodathunk? 😅
2 minutes and 16 seconds the girl jumping in the pool that's and omage to Thriller the guys at the end that's Thriller also then when he jumps up on the car there's a flag of Michael Jackson flag on the house he's wearing the Michael Jackson socks with the high-water pants in one part the drummer's got the Michael Jackson glove on to. Homie sitting in the Michael Jackson glove holding you know air quotes bubbles. And yeah just came out the year Michael died they sent this to Michael's management. And I'm assuming the management liked it I know they liked it and Michael must have liked it because here it is
Yes MJ approved and even collaborated with them on it.
Also, the kid dancing in the beginning was dancing in front of the Jackson’s childhood home.
No, MJ did not Collab with them on this. He was mad it happened, until the feed back came back. Then he back tracked. Money speaks volumes.
This version is around 20years old itself.
U mean the original or Alien? I like this group this was a dope remix

Yeah I heard
Always think it's funny when the bass player is a big boy and they have the highest background vocals like Michael Anthony from van Halen

Guitar player was definitely killing it...🔥 af
MJ signed off on this 100%
Was a freshman in college when this came out. Played at every kegger. Sigh…those were the days. Love this song.

it's not the same thing they did in this mv, as when MJ did it you only see him leaning on one side, they used wires in this one
We said ditto and thank...it's NOT magic
How this got made... AAF's bass player knew MJs long time drummer, The drummer told MJ these guys get it and Mike said okay AAF okay.
There's over 50 Easter eggs and little segments paying homage too videos and songs and the man MJ,, MJ himself worked with AAF in the making of this video it's awesome?.
The drummer wearing the white glove is my favorite because it’s so easy to miss.
@buschwc there was over 40 different Easter eggs in the video giving respect to MJ and his video carrier.
This was one of my favorite songs by this band back in my middle school days, around 2001/2002...
The bassist hitting the high pitch is insane.
So crazy, watched this video a bunch of times when it first came out and didn’t catch the nod to Thriller with the girl in the wolf mask and letterman’s jacket
The "Lean" is originally from "The Wizard of Oz"! The Tin Man does it.
They're 100% paying tribute to their idol not making fun at all

@@Kelsbell I'm not sure what this means.
@@Thatgirl1973 they have new music out pull up storms over on TH-cam
These guys did the lean using digitally removed lines attached to them, not shoe clicked floor attachments like MJ

It’s like the shoes are clipped to the floor to allow them to do the bend float move I forgot you can Google it for the sure answer
They killed the cover and the respect. So many nods to MJ.
Hello from Cody Wyoming 😊you're awesome keep it up
Hey, thanks!
One of my favorites since I’m named after MJ and this came out when I was in high school
The lean is done by pegs in the floor that hook into the heel of their shoes bro👍👍
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
Yasss I love the AAF version, they ate that! here in 2024 and 35 🤘

What part, the glove chair and the monkey? It's a tribute to MJ's silver glove, and Bubbles.

Yeah, this is a straightforward rock version of a MJ classic

they are doing it with magnets
michael jackson owned the patent for stage pegs rising up, then had shoes with holes for pegs to insert to
Haven't heard this song in 22 years i feel old now
Never to old maybe blessed but not old so rock on lol

The lean...magnets underneath
You should try listening to a band called "Me first and the gimme gimmes" they're a punk band that cover alot of songs professionally
The sidewalk scene if from Billie Jean.
Michael Jackson Gave them high compliments on this video and song
Here's a recommend: "Pure" by Sammus Theory, which is an even heavier metal cover of the original by Gary Numan. It's REALLY damned good!

“Hurt” by Johnny cash too. That one just hits so much harder than the original

Soooooooo many references to MJ and his other videos
Throw back to thriller and Billie jean
If you can name 13-15 Michael Jackson references I will give you my respect as 55 year old white man
Magnets under the floor...
he has to watch movies by aaf that songs awesome underrated masterpiece
To do the lean they used cranes.
This video pays homage to Micheals videos.

This song and beat it and a lot more MJ songs are rock songs. Eddie Van Halen played on Beat it.
