A Quick Dash Through Bantry Market

This is our local market and it happens every Friday throughout the year - although on a wet cold day in February it doesn’t look quite like this : - ) But in the summer, especially on the first Friday of each month, it is a busy and vibrant place.
We count ourselves very lucky to have such a resource on our doorstep and most weeks we’d make it down for a quick dash through. It’s quite hard to get from one end of the square to the other in a short time - because there’s always something to look at or someone you haven’t seen for a while..
We hope you find it a bit interesting - markets around the world are fascinating and perhaps similar, but maybe you can pick up clues to the differences between people and places too. Thanks to all the traders who let us point our camera at them.

Love these markets. We have something similar in kind though not as grand as yours.
Ours translates to "weekly market" in english and is just that...Every friday from 13:00 to 18:00 i believe... Fantastic institution and different crowd than your average supermarket or mall... ^^
