    I lived on Winfield way..1 block from sea cliff. That was my walk every day. To see it so devastated is sad.

    I have run on Rio Del Mar beach since the 70s. The last time was in October. You could run on that beach for miles especially at low tide. Watch the beautiful sunsets. The pizza shop at Rio Del Mar that’s changed owners for years that I would stop and get an after run coffee and slice. The concrete boat. The picnic tables at Seaclift and RV camp sites. Hard to believe it’s all gone. 😢 I don’t think they will get it cleaned up in time for summer. As far as the homes, when you build at the ocean, you take your chances,

    Beautiful images even though there is so much destruction. I lived in Ben Lomond 1994-2001. One of the best places in California. Thank you for posting.

      I am in the Sacramento area. The worst places are south of Elk Grove as far as flooding, but there are many trees down on streets, homes, and cars. I hope your loved ones are ok and you heard from them. They may not have power. There are still some folks who do not have power.

    Those houses are worth millions. This is a great opportunity to use insurance money to turn a 3 millions dollar house into a 5 million dollar house.

    Spent nearly every Saturday here in the 1970's. Sad to see when this happens. This storm was a doozy! 😢

    Beach Flats must be gone entirely.

    Every natural disaster is a moment, then calm comes. Unfortunately, there are many economic losses. I hope that people are alive and not dead, which is the most important thing. Blessing. (Now there is a lot of work to clean up and look at a new positive image).

    I cannot even imagine picking up the pieces...especially off of the beaches. With all of the broken glass, metal, and nails from the debris that ended up on the beach, I'd have to think twice about walking barefoot along the beach anytime soon once this is over

    We camp (RV campground side) there many times past summers and have reservations coming March. Do you know or can provide videos on the RV campground conditions? I fear it's same/similar to the Day-Use picnic side...with foundations gone. Thanks and appreciated it. Stay safe.

      I’m sure there must have been , we did not walk too much past the cement boat. There was significant damage to homes behind the gate at end of aptos beach drive , one was knocked off its foundation

      Why is it terrible?

    • @JvincentR
      @JvincentR ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thornil2231 because the tides and waves devastated most homes and businesses. Some houses 2-3 feet of water in them if not more.
