I immensely enjoy all of your projects, and I must say inspiration to give painting a try may very well be coming for me. Each one of your “paint like…” videos are incredible. I’m not sure…perhaps because I’m a US. Citizen born in the early 60s…this is my favorite episode so far. Thank you for sharing your talent!
I recently decided to start trying to level up my artwork and doing some research into artists I admire. Norman Rockwell is one, so I searched up some videos and came across this one. I am absolutely thrilled with everything about it! Thank you so much for your insight and wisdom and for showing me some really great techniques. I know this video is 3 years old, but you've gotten a brand new subscriber. I can't wait to watch more!! PS: I really quite enjoy your voice and vibes!
@@artbyvfae thanks a lot! I am preparing new videos, so you’ll have more content soon! In the meantime, I studied quite a few famous artists already! Good watching!
I love all the Norman Rockwell works that how he illustrated all the tiny pieces of details in his paintings. Thanks for this video 😊 Love 💖 from India
@@40bdg thanks! He did submit some watercolors for publications, and was making quick sketches/studies in watercolors too. But mostly, his illustrations were in oils.
There are several ways to meet artists, depending on where you live. Art fairs, Comicon, galleries…Internet has now changed this a lot too. You can try to look on commission websites (that put artists and commission requests together). Whether you find someone near you or not, it is important to discuss a lot about what you want and how you want it. Look at what that artist has produced in the past and if their style is ok for what you want. Hope you find somebody! Cheers
@brigitte8647 merci Brigitte!
This is a marvelous recreation of classic Americana. I appreciate you sharing your skills via tutorial.

Thanks Roger! You know I wouldn’t have done this video without your comment, right? 😉 thanks for your support!
This gave me a great appreciation for the process that goes in to painting.
That painting has a very simple yet honest feel to it.

Triva: Marvel's "What If..." graphic style is partly influenced by Norman Rockwell's visual style
Didn’t know that! But it makes sense for all the Captain America era…
Awesome job! Did Norman Rockwell use watercolor? I hadn't really thought about it before now.
