Kobe was the perfect representation of Los Angeles. The glitz and glamor of Hollywood along with the grit and grind behind the scenes. My childhood hero, adult role model, hometown icon, one of Los Angeles’ favorite sons. Mamba Forever

He for sure would have gotten another championship if the Lakers gave him any help at all when he was 26-29 years old. In terms of mentality MJ was obsessed with winning and a competitive drive his leadership and ability to make others around him better...MJ was trying to be the best. There are those who say Kobe is overrated and not deserving of this love. Laker fans and true basketball fans know it’s very much not true. The city of L.A. is hard to capture the true essence of the city because it’s hard to tell what’s real with all the glamour. Those who are real know real and that is from a genuine place and Kobe tapped into that energy because he never tied to be anything other than the best Kobe Bryant he could be. The city adopted him and he adopted the city. Once he showed them he was willing to work hard to gain their respect and to simply bring championships back to the city. He love basketball and L.A. and that love was reciprocated and will never be overrated.

Seeing this video made me tear up. Kobe is 1 of 2 pro athletes that made me cry their deaths. I obviously never met him, but what he means to me as a role model, somebody i looked up to when i was young, an icon, mamba forever.
And incase ya were wondering, eddie guerrero is the other athlete that still brings tears to my face to this very day

I can see why Lebron hates it, between the 5 trophies surrounding it and the quote about leaving the game better than he found it, he knows he’ll never have that with a fanbase. Just a mercenary, in love with himself.
