Thank you!! I’m trying to make sure to be transparent about writing so that if other people are facing these problems they don’t feel alone. Thank you for watching~
I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles, and I think so many of us can relate. Self-doubt is one of the easiest things to cultivate, especially for writers, because it’s so easy to compare yourself to others. But the harder you beat yourself up, the worse you’re gonna feel, and it’s just a never ending cycle. I once had a burnout so bad that I didn’t write anything for years. I don’t have much advice, but one thing that helps me when I’m feeling crappy about writing is going back to old stories I wrote. , even if it’s just ancient fanfiction. More often than not, even when I find terrible grammar or massive plot holes, I come away from them thinking, “that was way better than I remember! I’m actually not that bad a writer after all,” and it fills me with fresh motivation. I know it sounds stupid, and I’m sure it’s not for everyone though. Whatever the case, I hope you’re feeling at least a little better and that things look up for you!
Thank you so much for your kind words~ That’s actually really good advice!! I’ll have to try that. There’s lots of old work I could revisit. Thank you for watching!! I hope writing is going well for you : )
Thanks for watching!! If you're also a writer, I'd love to hear about how you deal with challenges in your writing! I need the advice haha
