Personally I really like it, for sure it's a compromise and single pin picking is quite awkward so I see why they introduced the rivpick upgrade, the tag line is the best tool is the one in your pocket and from this perspective its the best solution. I think at the end of the day if you wanted an edc solution then its ideal, if you care less about having a pick in your pocket as you go about your daily business then not so much
Man - that seemed tedious. I am quite impressed that you could tension and turn it with those standard turning tools though. You know how much I hate the mantis!
Yeah that was tedious and I made life more difficult by picking the lock I did but I wanted to see if it was possible, now I've done it I don't have to do it again 🤣
Fantastic, Thank You for showing how to use whatever tools you may have on hand. Quick question…is that a trainer cam lock or do they make some with PIN numbers on the face? Thanks for your time and this video!
HI, it's a production lock, I think this one came off of a pub fruit machine, the numbers seem to be a thing with 8 pin versions of this lock, I have other different ones and only the 8 pin versions have numbers
Hi, yes, it came with the numbers on, I've got a couple of different ones with numbers and they are all 8 pin locks rather than the usual 7 so perhaps they are trying to big that up a bit
Well done, great idea. I have always found tubular locks tedious.
Very impressive picking, now I need to find a beginner guide for a basic tubular lock 😮
thank you, variable tension is the trick 👌 👍
Great fight!!!
😀👏👏👏🐈⬛🐾🍻👍
@chriscapune7873 thanks Chris, I love those 'I wonder if...,,' mini projects 😆
I can usually do these in about 10 to 15 seconds with an appropriate sized plastic tube, from the end of an ink pen or marker.
Great work and well explained mate 🙂👌
The covert companion seems so awkward to use to me,but I've not actually held one.
Are they worth the money?

It’s actually an 8 change lock….you can change the key with a change key, there is also an 12 change version
Nice one Paul. Did the lock come with the numbers on?
Well done 👍🍻🍻🍻

@@paulg413 well that was excellent then - obviously I'm very slightly less impressed because I thought you had done it 😂
