- Join us for the February 2024 Orlando Informer after hours event at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure! This is a special nighttime ticketed event in the park with super low crowds, tons of free food in both parks, entertainment, seasonal theming and more! This event they are doing things a bit differently than in the past so we show you how that works, the special walkway they open between the parks, what foods we tried, some of our favorite and best rides like Hagrid's, VelociCoaster, Revenge of the Mummy and ET, enjoying the parks and also checking out some of what's new like Halloween Horror Nights props in the Five & Dime, an update on Mel's Drive-In, dining at Circus McGurkus for the first time since it's reopened, and LOTS MORE! We stayed at Aventura for this wonderful weekend, thank you to Orlando Informer for inviting us! Hope you all enjoy seeing what this event was like and lots of fun times with us!

FAQ: You can purchase tickets to Orlando Informer Meetups on their website, and find out what the next dates are! Generally they are held during Feb, June and Nov/Dec! You can also get discounts on Universal Orlando hotels, they will send you a link to book in your registration email (once you register for the Meetup)! You can find all the details on their website too, as some things change from one Meetup to the next. You can purchase for one single night, or for the whole weekend. I always recommend staying on property for these weekends as they are late nights and it's so nice to just pop to your room and get some sleep after. We just came back from the February Orlando Informer from this past weekend and it was a blast. Friday evening had smaller crowds and offered more hours to enjoy the food! (We went to both nights.)

Awesome video! I agree with your assessment of Velocicoaster. I think what makes it really stand out is that the ride experience is reversed from normal rollercoasters. The big sweeping hills come after the tight turning little hills that usually are at the finish of a regular rollercoaster. 😊

We miss the Orlando Informer events _so_ much! Truly the _best_ way to explore and experience the Universal parks. Our last OI event was in 2021 and so much has changed since then; the event area they silo'd out for free food and the photo ops at the beginning of the night was such a great idea! We loved Sam's little jig, too 😂 So glad that Richter Burger was the designated holding area while the park emptied out...I think you're right, they had you two in mind when they planned out the 2024 event. Tormenting other queuers with the interactive elements while in line for the Mummy is one of our absolute favorite things to do at Universal, across both parks! 😛 The other is, of course, Hagrid's...which remains (and probably _will_ remain) our favorite roller coaster of all time. Story coasters are the best! Loved this vlog, thanks for sharing with us Jackie! ✨

I got a chance to do a night-time ride on Velocicoaster and it was ICONIC! I highly recommend a night ride if you can do it. I rode in the back row for extra thrill. Lol.

Yup, Theme Parks look AWESOME when the sun goes down. So, here's my reason why rollercoasters are a bit quicker at night. During daytime i feel the tracks expand due to the heat & constant use its going through, while at night its cooler & the track decreases from its daytime operation, & there's also a fine mist in the air that i believe slightly coats the track. Oh, i can be totally wrong but that's just my opinion on why rollercoasters run alittle faster at night. Anywho, thank you for such an enthusiastic video Dimples.... may i call you Dimples? Bcuz, c'mon now as i always say, "OMGawd her dimples when she smiles!!!!"

Yaayy, you were at Orlando informer!! That be so much fun to go there for that, especially when there’s like no right times!! When I was there the first week of Mardi Gras it was very busy and it was the week that velocity coaster was down for three days!! That is a really fun ride, though. There are so many times that my butt was off the seat!! I love Hagrid’s so much!! That’s such a fun ride! When I was there, it was always an hour and 20 or an hour and 30 minute wait!! But I got to ride it two times before noon so that was awesome!! Diagon Alley looks so cool at night in the dark!! I would ride Escape from Gringotts over and over!! I’m so glad you got a hot butter beer that is the best thing ever. It is so good! I got the hot butter beer twice in a day because it’s that good!! I’m so glad and happy that you and Sam are together for the event. You guys are so cute together love seeing your both enthusiasm and fun attitude together! lol I love that Sam didn’t want to dance, but then I liked his little Irish dance that he was doing! So funny!! I wanna move to Orlando soooo bad!! I would love to go to universal all the time! I saw that Universal is building affordable housing community! That’s so awesome. Is that a good area where they’re building though? because if it is, I would definitely move down!

My girlfriend and I attended the June 2023 meetup but was really disappointed in the universal staff. They acted rude and fed up by the event, the single rider line was held up on purpose on the hagrids ride just bc they were annoyed by the amount of people waiting. Thanks for your content, Jackie!
Sorry, that really sucks. I went in December and don't remember having any issues. Maybe enough people complained about those rude employees that management cracked down on them 🤞
This is one thing I want to do this year; go to one of the informer events. Probably a fall one.
Fall is the only season they don't do one, I think it's because of HHN. Summer is my favorite one!

10:45 I was out in LA last Sept and went to Universal Hollywood and I could not believe how short their version of the Mummy ride was. The Orlando was is definitely the superior version of it! :)

We love staying at Aventura, but we never ride the bus to the hub. We walk over to Sapphire and catch the boat and skip the hub.
Yes we've done the walk and the boat a bunch too, I've shown that in past videos too! Just found the bus faster and easier during these busy weekends. Both are great though!

Got to the park around 5:45. The email will let you know what time you can check in and what time you can actually get into the park. It’s different each time, even the Friday and Saturday of this weekend were totally different. So it’ll be different each time, they send a super detailed email when you register tho. 💕
Looked like I was all hooked up. Sitting in a motel near Charlotte, new video and a bag of Buckee Bites. Sounds perfect right? Wrong. The internet sucks today. Every 30 seconds it stalls for a couple. Totally ruined all your hard work. Maybe later, but I'll be out of bites. But Monday I'll be in Sevierville and more Buc-ees.

Thanks so much! It's a little different each time, but it can be "up to" 40% off. I've found that the discounted rooms sell out fast, so I'd recommend booking the room as early as possible and you have to do it through the link in the email they send once you register for the Meetup. So for instance, for the next one in June, the website says: Discounted hotel stays will become available on March 7 at 1:00 pm ET. Use the link in your purchase confirmation to book. But the discounted prices are already listed on their website: meetup.orlandoinformer.com/j/ (click hotel discounts and FAQ's).
Great option for visiting the Universal parks. I would need 2 nights; One for just the food and the other just for all of the rides. And I wouldn’t fill up on a hotdog and cheeseburger. Rather, I’d save my stomach for more interesting and unusual offerings.
I hear you, but we've been doing these events for many years I love to mix it up and do different things each time :) trust me, I've tried aaaaallllll the more interesting and unusual offerings too, so stay tuned and you'll see different things each time we go! Also, I always say I won't fill up on this or that but it's easier said than done once you're there lol!!! Two nights is definitely the way to go, usually we do 2 and I vlog only one of the nights.
