Love that there are a ton more colors, but the painting works pretty much the same as it did in Evolved

I thought there was a new system to painting and I watched the first 27 seconds only to realize that the reason I couldn't see my dyes was bc I wasn't in the cosmetics tab lol

Where to craft the Spray Gun? Ive unlocked the engram but I cant seem to find where to craft it ( yes I checked on my person as well )....any help thanks all.

I know that you can use the camera in the game take a picture with the camera and then take that picture and add it to a canvas but I do not know how to do it I'll have to test
I think you can also paint the dinos using the paintbrush! (you could in old Ark ASE)

I wanna do black but whenever I put the ingredients different colours start crafting themselves and just the white comes out 🤷🏻♂️
That's so weird
I believe tab three on thatch changes the color on the inside face of the thatch wall. That’s why nothing was showing up maybe? 😊

I’m having issues using the spray painter. I’m on PS5. I can do the first 4 colour regions but I can’t find the button to do the 5th and 6th. Can you help.

@@ConCon I’ve found it now mate, no worries. To get the 5th and 6th colour region you press L1+L2 + triangle and square

I could not find a awnser anywhere in the Internet, but i know u can also change light colour of electric lamps .

Yes you can dye torches and lamps including the colour of the light emitted! 🙂
Yes, add dye to the second to the last slot.
You can change the color of wall torches by painting region 5 just like the torch I use the spray painter and if you don't know how to change the regions by holding L2 + (d-pad) right left up and down regions 1-4 then for 5 and 6 hold L2 AND L1 THEN PRESS SQUARE AND TRIANGLE
I can’t apply any paint on either items I have, whether it’s a gun , clothing , saddle, etc. it just takes it from me and stays in default colors
Did you have the dyes?
I’m pretty sure you can paint anything, saddles and clothes/armor you just take the dye and drag it onto the item you want to paint for example I want to dye a shirt or a saddle or a gun you just hover over the dye you want and you drag it on top of the item(it will glow blue) and it will show you the areas you can paint like in the video, As for the paint gun I think it’s only on structures and Dinos I could be wrong but you can use the paintbrush for the structures and Dinos too! The paintbrush can also help you paint your self too and on a canvas,Flag etc…

So if I have already created the character, what can I change? Just the hair and beard? What if I wanted to change my skin? Like color or muscles?
You can't do that
They changed it to where you can use the scissors to change appearance now
I cannot get the paint to work on my armor. I select the color, then region, then click apply paint. But when I check my armor it's still the default color, it's using my paint but not applying it, idk what I'm doing wrong
Hmm that's strange, which armor is it?
For armors it’s a bug it happens to me too just select the color and pick the area and put apply paint on the bottom and do that over and over again as that’s what works for me
I tried to paint my body but it wouldn’t let me, i tried a bunch of different colors and it just doesn’t work, i’m on ps5 btw

Hey can you try taking a paint brush and use it on the dino? That’s how it worked on ark evolved

When I make paint dyes, I drag them into my inventory but when I release the mouse button, they disappear and are lost forever. Anyone else have this issue?
They go into your cosmetics inventory, not your normal inventory
@@ConCon Yes, but unfortunately, it's not there, either.
This happens to me for almost all colors other than purple.
If I make red or green and drag it to my gun/paint, it acts as if it changes, but blanks out.
@@panurge987 Did you spawn these via console? I just found out today, by creating the dye through the pot, and then spawning them via console, they both will read the same color, but are listed as different items as they are unable to stack.
make sure ur setting are set only for a specific item
my spray is broke or some wont let me use it all it says is sum bout a hot key

Hold L2 then press up right down on D pad then hold L2 and L1 and press square and triangle translate that to Xbox controller same thing

Correction, you do not have to use soap to remove a color just pick the wall or whatever it is up and set it back down ;)
Yeah you can do that with structures but for your body. armor and saddles you need soap

hold left trigger and left bumper than press square and triangle for 5 and 6 and for Xbox x and y. So LT + LB + X or Y for 5 and 6 hope that helps
