Very nice upgrade Dylan can’t wait to see the finished product and of course I missed you guys but I hope you had a great break and is refreshed now y’all take care, and God bless
Definitely a big fan of making older equipment look as good as it can about 10 years ago we painted my planting tractor which is a 1978, 1586 gave that thing a new life looks so much better. Right now we are in the process of completely restoring, including repainting my dad‘s old planning tractor a 196 5 806 diesel wide front, hoping to have it done before spring planting love these old tractors when they get a little love
I put in alot of hours on a 4640 growing up. We had 2. And a 4840. My grandpa used to say the 4840 wasn't as good a tractor as the 4640 was. He never drove the 4840. I remember you could buy interior kits from John deere. We replaced ours evey couple of years. They always looked brand new on the inside. Man how I miss those days.
Looks good, glad to see old iron given a new life. John Deere classic green would look have been a better match for the existing paint but great job nonetheless
You really need some light upgrades in your shop! I don’t see how y’all see to work😂 if you ever want to buy a tool to make your life easier, buy a power probe. Best way tool ever for electrical diagnostics. Great video!
So cool! It looks and sounds so good...nice to see guys taking care of old iron and appreciating their history. I just did the same thing to my grandfather's 4240. He too, bought it new in 1981! He's no longer with us and I cherish his 4240. I put a new cab kit in it, and also painted the frame rails. I had to dot in spots on the fuel tank where there were stone chips and cracked paint. Did you guys use "classic green"? I found that matches better than the new Ag green. I've been told use "classic green" for 50 series and back. My grandfather's 4240 also has all OG paint and milky-yellow decals, but I too agree with you on keeping it OG as possible.
Man yeah!!! So glad yall are back making video's!! Hope the break recharged ya!! How did the social media spolltlight at career day go? Those mirror's sure add some accent!! I like the fact you are staying as original as possible!! Cant beat that strobe light mounting area!! 😁😁 Boy my memory must be fading, I dont remember that blade and charger tango at all 😳 Robert mentioned a three point planter, what did y'all have? Thank you for bringing us along, the ole gals look epic, the new look is amazing!!! Look fwd to seeing whats next!! 😁😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🚜🚜🚜
I recorded some clips when Robert tried to bull doze the charger lol but I decided not to post them because of liability issues. You know how people are these days they will use anything against you. I'm sure it would have got a lot of great views though. I've got some pictures on Facebook in some of my older albums of the planter on the 3 point. We had a transport hitch where you could unhook and pull it from the end down the road.
@@DylanJoyceFarms I was thinking that might have been the case in te tango, and yes that they will!! Ok, thank you , I am gonna try to search and find that!! Heck yeah, that would have been amazing to see that hitch!! 😁😁
People driving in agricultural communities should be aware of their surroundings / situations and drive accordingly. That being said, I have to commend you for the time and expense of the lighting upgrade, For safety reasons.
That may be true, but I've gotten by fine just replacing the bad battery for years. Batteries are too expensive now to be replacing one that doesn't need it.
Those series John Deere tractors looks a lot better than the ones they make today.
I like most all the Deeres lol

It's amazing what a difference a little TLC makes.
Great job on lights upgrade , just amazing , stay safe always.
Thanks, will do!
Thanks for the great vid. Might have motivated me to upgrade my 76 4430! Love those late 70s models. Looks like a tractor should look!
That thing cleared up really nice. It's also light up like a Christmas tree. Shouldn't be a problem to see y'all coming.
Looking forward to trying the lights out.
Great video Dylan and Robert
Thank You!
Now you farming now . Love that strobe light . Brings out the tractor
You got that right! When's the documentary coming?
@@DylanJoyceFarms still working on it almost done wit the first episode

They've been some good ones.

Tractor looks awesome
I think so too!

G’job y’all, might as well deck the tractor out, because so much time is spent in it. 🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸

Our shop is a dark hole for sure.
Ole Robert will be dancing under that strobe light the first late night😅
He may be able to find him a woman doing that.
That looks great 👍
Thanks 👍
Good job guys

I used the new paint. I know it doesn't match as well but I like it just because it's a lot brighter green.
Dnt take breaks on the videos 😂we need stuff to watch!!
Dion keeps you plenty of content to watch man LOL.
@@DylanJoyceFarms my poor Dwade 🤦🏽♂️ I really hope he surprises us with an x9 this year
Have you talked to Matt about the new procedure he has done on his equipment ? Keeping up on equipment is a must , stay safe , enjoy !
Not spending that kind of money right now. Once a year with the buffer does a pretty good job for us.
She looks great. Only thing if I had to pick something, I'd like to see the air intake to be tall. But that's minor.
i clipt my lights on tractor most of time , had to put brush guards around lights
Rural King is my favorite store, for me it’s kinda like Jethro clampit going to the big city lol 😆
That's how I feel about Harbor Freight.
@@DylanJoyceFarms oh I forgot about that one, I like that also lol
Hope your upgrades help out on safety and visibility, where I farm we have to have someone in a vehicle escort and they still try and run us over!
Not sure if you can still get it, but we used to get wax that had color in it, just ordered with your choice of color. @Pughfarms
I sure wouldn't mind trying it if I could find it.
@@DylanJoyceFarms I believe we ordered it from JC Whitney catalog not sure if there still in business.

So real question is when is the 4960 and 12 row planter in the picture. But anyways keep up the great work, love the vids
It's going to be several years unless we pick up more ground.

Yep, I want everyone to stay safe as possible.
Nice work fellas, where do you get the LED lights? I think my 4640 needs some.
