When she says about the fact that Yu picked her, it's so sad.. it's like she's talking directly with the player that aways choose the others.. despite her being an energetic girl, it shows that she is quite insecure about herself and it's something that we already know. I didn't choose her in my first run, and i regretted hard latter.. i thought that a better girl would appear (Naoto, Rise).. but i was seeing that she's the best while i was playing.
Makes since since if you’re wanting to post videos of every single possible date, then you’d have to replay the entire game 7 times at least unless you do a harem run. But there’s something gratifying about seeing some one go through the game and chooses one girl to stay loyal to.

Yeah there are a few moments the hints are dropped. If you go to the summer festival while dating chie (or any of the girls of the main group for that matter besides naoto), the day after, you can kinda drop a hint on yosuke that you went with someone, and your date goes red as a tomato giving it away. Besides, the group is fairly close. They'd figure that out fast.

Soejima says Chie is the foundation for design and colour for p4 as a normal cute girl that can exsist in real life so it's like heroine. How Yukari reacts to Yuki's death. Like how Chie monologuing she isn't as special as other girls in Valentine really hit in the feels. It just makes them special. First archetype girls Yukari and Chie like the MCs. Furthermore, the MCs can be whatever they want for the future because Yukari and Chie would support them no matter what while they're not be bounded by anything. It's best for whatever future they have for the MCs.
The only REAL way is to play the game 5 times. On the first playthrough, you concentrate on one girl and one girl alone. Repeat same process, but for a different girl each time for playthroughs number 2-4. Finally, if you're up to it, play harem in the 5th and final playthrough. I wouldn't recommend the fifth one though. Staying faithful to whomever you picked for each playthrough is the most important. In my playthroughs, i went: Chie, Naoto, Yukiko and Rise in that order. Now, to preface this, dating any or all of these character is ok in-universe, because Yu Narukami (The Protagonist) is underage too. Now, when it comes to japanese laws about dating, i have no clue, but chances are that older characters dating younger characters is very wrong. Chie is first because she deserves it the most. Considering herself to be inferior to Yukiko, Naoto AND Rise, she deserves to be proven wrong and that she's great. Naoto is second, because she also deserves a lot. Having a lot of problems with her femininity, i wanted to prove that she was full of worth as a woman and deserves to be dated. Also, she isn't number one, because dating her feels like i'm doing my man Kanji wrong. And that just isn't ok. Yukiko is third, mostly because she, as a character, would have NO problems finding people who'd want to date her. After all, she is very sought after in P4/P4G. Despite that, she also is very much worth dating. And finally, Rise. She is last because she IS an idol. And not only will she, just like Yukiko have no problems finding candidates who'd want to date her, but idols in general have a lot of no-no's. Dating in public (slash dating in general) being one of them. Despite all that, she is finally the number 4 most worth dating. Here's a little bit of extra, when it comes to me. I'd love nothing more than an opportunity to date/be with the male characters. When it comes to the males, my imaginary dating order would be: Kanji, Yosuke "and finally Teddie". Kanji is number one, because he is someone i see who'd benefit the most from embracing his complicated feelings with another male character. Whereas i KNOW he likely isn't homosexual, i think the chance that he is maybe bisexual is a good possibility. Also, Kanji is best boy. Next up, second is Yosuke. His actions and words towards Kanji and possible homosexuality makes him look extremely suspicious and defensive and therefore in general make me think he is quite possibly "in the closet". Also, considering he calls Yu his "Partner" multiple times makes me kind of like the idea of being with him. And then there is.... Teddie... Now, i'm not actually sure about this, but when his "human form" debuted for the first time, it made it seem like his human self might be SEVERELY underage. Now, wheather he actually is or isn't is the reason why dating him would possibly be a big problem. That is the reason why dating him is in airquotes. If his age is defined by his shadow-self age, it might be possible that he'd be old enough to date, maybe even way older than the main cast. If not, STAY-AWAY...
I fucking hate Atlus for putting these implications into the game such as Kanji x Naoto and Yosuke x Chie and it got me frustrated because it defeats the purpose of an rpg game where you can make your own canon story. I'm frustrated because Naoto is my favourite character to romance (same reasons as yours) and by doing that, the game got me feeling like a total dick for "stealing" kanji's girl and it makes me unsatisfied when dating her because I keep having the thought of "oh but Atlus' true canon of the story is to put Kanji and Naoto together hence the big implications whenever the two of them are together" same goes with Chie too but it's less frustrated than this. Take a look at the Mass Effect trilogy. Where a character's romantic interest is kept extremely vague or not even explored at all and it's up to Shepard (you) to choose whoever you see fit and you don't have the feeling of being constrained by any sort of implications or Bioware's supposed canon because there aren't any. That's why your choices are carried over to the sequel because you're making your own story. Whereas when dating Naoto, Kanji still blushes when he's around Naoto and it makes you feel even worse and just like you said, it's wrong. Oh and why even make Golden an rpg when you have an anime and a sequel (P4Arena) and both of them clearly favour Naoto towards Kanji. Anyway that's just my opinion because I like Naoto the most but I couldn't help but to fight with my own conscience every time I'm with her because I also like Kanji too. I'm constantly being chased by the thought that I'm not playing the game as intended and it makes me feel, again, unsatisfied

And Chie like Lisa and Yukari genuinely state several times she would never be into him as well. The trope is utmost incompatible. Lisa, Yukari, Chie are genuinely uncomfortable with the idea, they are as genuine as it can get unless in denial and it isn't even reaching that it's simple as it can be. Fact is they all would never be into each other. Eikichi, Junpei, Yosuke like traditional feminine girls and not tomboyish snappy girls like Lisa, Yukari, Chie. It isn't hard to see the same dynamic in Persona games and characterization. Thinking otherwise is just delusional.
