Taylor and Megan Williams- Winter With You

An original song for the season. This year has been a hard one for many people, and my wife and I have been no stranger to hardship. Last week we were having another off day and it caused us to fight a number of times. By 7 PM the kids were in bed, but the tension had yet to rest. I put on my headphones and plugged my piano into the computer and started writing. 30 minutes later I took off the headphones and turned up the volume on the piano and sang her this song.
I intended for it to be a duet from the beginning; two different people both with different ideas for how they want to spend their days during these cold months, but ultimately they know that as long as they have each other that nothing else matters. I couldn't make it through the first two lines without crying.
I taught my wife the song and we recorded it here after I added some strings to the orchestration. I hope you enjoy this original work this holiday. Even though we can't all be together, take time to love those around you and remind yourself how lucky you are.
