This was very interesting train trip. Rather than sleeping in a confined cabin and traveling overnight on the train when you can't see anything anyway, staying in a hotel room with the extra amenities, able to have a shower, better night sleep etc. makes for a great itinerary. This is definitely on my bucket list!
Definitely a lot more comfortable to be able to sleep in a hotel with a nice shower and a big bed! It’s such a great train trip and the sights are incredible. I hope you get to take it soon and happy travels 🚂
Ive been on via rail, but not yet on the mountaineer. Also at about 1:35, the car on the right (your left) looks like it's one of those cars for the crew. The silver leaf ones have much larger windows, but are single level
Oh nice! I’ve always wanted to try out Via Rail’s The Canadian. I hope to try it out one day too and hope you get to try the Rocky Mountaineer as well. Thanks for watching 🙏
How exciting! You and your sister will have a lovely time. Honestly I don’t think that final supper is normal. According to our itinerary we weren’t supposed to receive a final meal like that so I was surprised when we got one. I think because our train didn’t pull into Banff until later in the evening (around 8:30pm-9:00pm) they maybe felt it was appropriate to give us a little something to eat. It was a nice surprise and generous for them to provide an additional meal like that. Thanks for watching and I hope you and your sister have a great journey 🚂
@allons.y The trip will be from Jasper to Vancouver to meet up with family members on the West coast. It will be preceded by a trip on the VIA train from Toronto in sleeper class.
This is truly the trip of a lifetime! I want to do the same!
Honestly you need to do it! It's such a relaxing way to travel too. Benny would probably love being on the train as well
The views and the food are incredibly amazing! Trip of a lifetime!
Definitely a trip everyone should do at least once🙌

We just booked this train (Gold Leaf) for next October. Your video gives us a very good idea of what to expect. Thanks for that!
