- The Walden Trademark Collection By Wyndham is Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg's Newest Luxury Hotel.
*it has come to our attention that they no longer have the lazy river. They now have an additional fire pit and patio area in addition to the outdoor pool, hot tub, and indoor pool and hot tub. It was originally constructed in 2010 as a Clarion Hotel.
Located just one mile from endless entertainment, shopping, and dining at The Island in Pigeon Forge, The Walden, Trademark Collection by Wyndham welcomes guests of all ages with free breakfast, WiFi, and parking as well as indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, a gym, courtyard, and rooms with mountain views. Easily access top attractions like Dollywood and Dolly Parton’s Stampede®, snag a deal at Tanger® Outlets Sevierville, or explore Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Located off the parkway, this contemporary hotel is 32 miles from McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS).

A beautiful, clean hotel! Wow for 68$ a night is a killer price. Even at 128$ a night it'd be a bargin. Hotels are rediculous in Nashville. You can't find a decent hotel for under 250$ a night. Most of them are dirty and older. I find it refreshing that you got such an awesome deal! ❤

Looks like you found a great hotel at a great price. It looks super clean with a lot of amenities. Even the bathroom is super nice. It is good that each room has a balcony and I like the fireplace. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
We did enjoy our stay Steven! It was really clean but was also really new. I hope they can keep it that clean but only time will tell. We stayed at this hotel many times when it was the Clarion. I noticed on our last trip it had changed to The Walden. Looks like they have definitely made some upgrades as far as decor. You showed a picture of a lazy river. Unless they put in a lazy river they do not have one. They filled in the lazy river a couple/few years ago. It looked like their were firepits in that area in your video. They have always had a nice indoor pool and a great outdoor hot tub (much better than the indoor pool in my opinion). Hopefully that indoor pool is still as warm as it used to be. Thanks for sharing!
We were only there for one night and I forgot to get video of the outdoor pool. Because this place is so nice and was such a good deal, i wanted to get the video out asap so others could enjoy it for that price. When editing it I unfortunately used outdated information from the internet, always double check your source! Good catch and thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will update the description as soon as I can. We really enjoyed this place and would recommend it to anybody. THIS particular room is giving me Cruise Ship vibes! Especially the bathroom. Definitely a modern spin and that Clarion TV listing is a choice touch. 😁 I always like when they take an old hotel 🏨 and put lipstick 💄 on it with the old swag STILL there.Awesome VLOG. After the renovation is done at certain times of the year that price is going to be triple that!
You may be right. But we really enjoyed our stay here. We would consider paying full price for a room here. A TON of new rooms are coming on line in the area within the next year so maybe competition will help keep the prices reasonable? Anyways, thanks for watching our video and commenting!
Great video. Where do you find it for $60? The cheapest I can get for October is $269.
$60 was what it was when we made the video. We honestly couldn't believe we paid so little for this place. It is so nice. Unfortunately we don't set the rates and hotel rates are ever changing. I guess the word is out on this hidden gem and they have raised the rates. In October the other side of the hotel may have great views of the leaves starting to change in the mountains. $269 seems high but depending on when you are going $269 may be a good price? During peak times, if I had the budget to spend $269 I would definitely consider it depending on what other hotels in the area are going for. Hotel rates in general have gotten wild, especially in the Smokies. Its a great hotel and we would recommend it.
You can always check the hotel booking sites that feature deeply discount rates on unnamed hotels which is where we found it when we stayed there. You can also sometimes find cheaper special promotional rates booking direct through a hotel's rewards program, in this case that would be the Wyndham rewards program. Also, try calling the property directly, sometimes the person at the front desk can give you the best rate. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I forgot to add that most hotel loyalty programs are free to join and they give you different perks depending on the brand such a late check out, etc.

Of course they would up the price. I did book Hampton Inn Pigeon Forge? Do you know anything about this Hotel? Seemed to be one of the cheapest. ( but still, not cheap) is the month of October crazy busy? We will be there the second week. Also, should I buy all our tickets ahead of time? Dollywood, Anakeesta?
Your welcome! I'm glad you enjoy watching our vlogs! We have never stayed at the Hampton Inn Pigeon Forge but we have considered staying there many times. It looks like a great property, has good reviews, and is one of the areas few pet friendly hotels. Hampton Inns usually have a good free breakfast and are usually very clean. They're part of the Hilton Hotel group so most are top notch. October is busy because of the leaves changing and Dollywood has a harvest festival around that time as well. Anakeesta also has a fall festival around that time, I think its called "bearvarian fest?" If you have any other questions don't hesitate to reach out. I hope you have a great trip! Unfortunately, hotel prices can fluctuate wildly. Keep trying different sites or different dates if you are flexible on that. Some sites will show you the price from all different hotel booking sites. Some sites will tell you what days at each property are cheaper or more expensive. Its a great hotel and I would still recommend it even if you can't get it for $60.00. We found it on a website that specializes in steeply discounted rates on unnamed hotels. I have become pretty good at predicting which hotel I will get on those sites but you never know. Thanks for watching and commenting. What days are you going? What's your budget? @@RaysontheRoad we plan on going up there the second week of July (10-15) with our 3 kiddos. We saw the video and thought this would be way better than an expensive cabin! Been needing a vacay after a year of constant knee surgeries 😅
We have always wanted to rent a cabin there. Some of the cabins there are like something off that old tv show cribs (over the top nice). However, some cabins are end up being very expensive once you add in all the fees. I'm sorry you have had constant knee surgeries, bad knees are not fun! That is another issue with cabins, very few are accessible and most have lots of stairs. Looks like the lowest the Walden is on Kayak right now is $139 during that time, including taxes and fees. We would pay $139 for it but only you can determine if that is a good choice for you and your family at that price. I can't find it on hotwire or Priceline currently but you can always check back and see since they're always adding new deals. If you need to be around $60 maybe look at the Green Valley Motel or the Wild Bear Inn? I think J & B in the Hills did reviews on them for their you tube channel. We have not stayed in them yet though. Hope this helps and hope you all have a wonderful trip!
@@RaysontheRoad I think we can work with that range! Cause from what we’ve seen at Walden, it looks way more comfortable and accessible for us. I know me and stairs don’t get along well especially as a total klutz 😂😂
FYI apparently they don't have the lazy river anymore. I put a note in the description but just wanted to make sure you knew that. It is now an expanded patio area with an additional firepit.
How was the breakfast?
Unfortunately, we overslept so we didn't get to try it. The area looked like it had several hot options, such as a waffle maker, sausage, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and potatoes. I think they may rotate the proteins out. Looks like they had a pretty good selection of non hot options such as yogurt, cereal, and several bakery items. If you stay here I would recommend getting there on time. because they seem to be serious about shutting it down on time. I actually went back on another day to get footage and it was closed at the minute it said it was closed. Next time I am in town I will try to swing by and do a video on it. We have had the free breakfast at many LaQuinta properties, which are also part of the Wyndham Hotel system and are comparable in quality, so I expect it would be similar to that which is pretty good for a free hotel breakfast. What site was the $160 on? Its a very busy time of year. Have you tried hotwire, priceline, expedia, or signing up on the rewards program? Sometimes you can find lower rates there.
Wouldn't go to Pigeon Forge town leaders are Corrupted
