Metal water bottle hits Novak Djokovic in the head at Italian Open

- Novak Djokovic was signing autographs at the Italian Open when suddenly he was hit in the head with a metal water bottle coming from the stands.
Video shows the moment he dropped to the ground in pain as a security guard shielded him and then helped him through the tunnel to get medical attention.
The Italian Open confirmed the water bottle drop was an accident. It fell out of a fan's backpack.
Djokovic later said he was "fine" and was resting at his hotel with an ice pack.

I'm sure this hurt, but no way it gave him a concussion. Sorry that's just silly. And of course he blamed his match loss on this even though he's been losing quite regularly this spring before this incident. And comments about arresting the person whose bag this fell out of? Do you guys even bother to learn the story? An accident happens and someone gets a bump on the head, and you think they should go to jail? Be reactionary much? This is the problem with everyone, facts don't matter and reality is what you want it to be.

@@rickmiller2668 that's rubbish considering there's a video on x showing the bottle clearly come out of the backpack and it's a lot more than 2 feet (at least more than twice that and showing it pick up a decent amount of speed) and we don't know if the bottle was empty or not. it definitely hurt plus the shock factor of something hitting out of nowhere is real. also the bottle projects straight down (suggesting that it has some extra liquid mass) and hits him with the pointy cap bit on the head which is going to hurt more than other parts of the bottle. djoko haters will cope on regardless even though he has permanently left fedal in the dust anyway.
