@@I_love_liberal_tears He left way before Tremonti started though. He left before Submersed even finished their 2nd album. I guess he thought Daughters of Mara was going to take off more than it did. I think that's the main reason he left Submersed. And he left Daughters of Mara to tour with Creed when they came back. He just followed the opportunities as they presented themselves. I can't blame him. All the bands he's been a part of have been phenomenal.
Sometimes I just sit listening to my bands (Sevendust, Tremonti, Projected, Fear Factory etc.) and I ponder just how it is human beings can write melodies that affect the soul to the absolute core. It's one of humanity's highest achievements I must say. I digress...This song is marvellous and you rock it my brother!
Man you killed it. This song comes up fairly regularly on my YT "My Mix" curated playlist thats usually centered around early 00s rock and I always turn it up. Had to look and see if anyone had done a cover recently and you NAILED it.
I'd like to do this whole album sometime. I put it on one of the polls and it hardly got any votes which is why I don't think I'll be putting the next album cover up to vote haha.
Damn! Nice! Yet another killer band I've never heard of! There are some seriously awesome licks in this one! Definitely gonna be trying to learn this one!
Dude you totally rocked this song like a boss! You made it so easy! Love the way you play guitar. This is my favorite song from this band. The entire "In Due Time" was amazing. It's sad that they never went anywhere. You got a fan here bro! Keep rockin' the epic music of the 90s and early 2000s the best rock days! 🎶👏🤙
This cover is *SO* good, I’m inclined to believe that you *are* actually Eric Friedman, Mr. Mystery “MysticGuitar77”.... maybe you are, maybe you aren’t…… But damn it, this is an amazing cover!
Awesome cover! Love Submersed. There were a lotta good bands on Wind-Up Records back in the day. Did you ever listen to Breaking Point or Strata? Two other very underrated bands who were lablemates of Submersed. Strata is actually back and recording a new album. Their self titled album from 2004 is still one of my favorite albums to this day. I don't really see many guitar covers of it. So maybe?... Rock on man!
Strata is awesome, especially their self-titled. Good to hear they're still around. I've heard of Breaking Point as well but I never really got into them back in the day from what I remember. I'll have to go back sometime and check them out.
@@WordsDarkerThanTheirWings That's awesome. I wanted to make the drive, but it was during the week if I remember right so I wasn't able to make it. I got to see Tremonti a few days before.
I always thought the guitars were simpler than this. Wow shock on me. Hahaha. Time to get practicing. Well done on the playthrough. Sounds really good.
Awesome! Totally different but, the vocalist for submersed DC just did some music with the members of Days of the New. The band is Blisskrieg if you want to check it out.
Would you be interested in making a video on how to play this song? Since this song wasn't too popular, nobody made any beginner videos on it. Could you make a video in the style of GuitarLessons365 on how to play it? That would be amazing. This is the best version of this song IMO thanks for the cover.
Thanks buddy I’m gonna check the local shops here and see if they have those it sounds good even for a recorded TH-cam video can only imagine how much more awesomeness it will be in person
MysticGuitar77 lol. It sounds like the song is tuned to drop d, so the main open riff. Listening to the song, it sounds like you shortened the amount of repetition of the rhythm. Idk how else to say it, lol.
@@Rony-L The verse part? I played the palm-mutes staccato style instead of having them ring out. It sounds tighter and closer to the song IMO. It doesn't make a huge difference and I've seen people play it both ways.
Another one of my favorite albums and yet another band that coulda, shoulda, woulda if they only stuck around longer than they did.
Would have been nice if they did, but most of the reason is Eric Friedman is busy playing in Tremonti now

Couple years old and I still come to watch you shred this sick song. Thanks for having great taste in music 🤟🏼

Priceless.
Just taking a trip down memory lane and decided to look for a cover. You nailed this. Fantastic.
I'd legit pay to see you cover this whole album bro! Reminds me of being in high school jamming this while I skateboarded. Love it.

SubmerseD played a one-off reunion show in Stephenville, TX last fall, dubbed Lukerpalooza in honor of Kelan’s brother Seth who passed away.
