12 years ago today, I released a song called “Your Love Is Strong.” It’s a song feels exceptionally relevant today. We are held together by a bond that is stronger than any economic or political system. I hope this song reminds you of a Love that is bigger than we are.

Some times when I hit a dark place, I tend to repeat thoughts in my head like, "Just stay positive," or "It's going to be okay." However, these phrases often have the connotation of me wanting to be in control. Singing the words, "Your love is strong" lovingly forces me to surrender all of my worries to the Lord. Lord, Your love is strong and You'll never let me go!
That is such a good reminder
That is a word of healing - thank you for that. Positivity in itself can still be empty... belonging to the greater One is real ground to stand on.

@Hannah ... this is sooo good! You've put into words the "sense" that I often times have, when I think that I should be telling myself phrases like these, that it's still going to be all about me. Ugh... NO! There's no way I have what it takes apart from Him. It's all about my Beloved Shepherd and the strength of His love that always gets me through. "Your love is strong!" ... wow ... now THAT'S what I want to be reminded of as I sing again and again!!!

Got turned turned on to your music in my mid-40's. Just heard this one a couple months ago for the first time. I'm a pastor and this song ministers! Lifted me up today, and that takes some doing. Thanks be to God!

This comes to mind as I hear this song. It is one of my life's anthems. Thank you, Jon.

Jon, this song is literally my life's anthem. It has gotten me through my darkest days of hopelessness when I couldn't see what God was doing - when my family of 8 (at the time) and I were homeless after separating from the U.S. Navy. I know my story isn't unique from among so many of our fans. I suspect your and your band's ministry is doing so much more in the world than you know...healing wounded hearts, giving voice unspoken prayers, and literally letting light shine into situations of despair. Be encouraged. God is working through your music. May the Lord bless you and keep you. I hope one day I can enjoy one of your after-shows...unplugged in some alley where the acoustics are amazing.
