    Derma roller/pen (pen best option) does work, alongside the use of monoxidil. that certainly works 100%, though... you not growing a full dense beard in just a few times use. You need to be using that combination for at least a few months to see some real promising results.

    Minoxidil actually works

  • @arabpride9939
    @arabpride9939 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I tell people to wait for 1 to 2 years of growing their beard, but they don't necessarily need to grow 2 years worth of length because we are just concentrating on the thickness of the beard rather than the length. So during those 2 years, we will let all the hairs on our face develop and thicken(Kinda like how long Minoxidil users have to wait) but in this case we are just allowing all the vellus hairs you already have to transition into permanent thicker hairs(Note: you won't see all your vellus hairs because some new ones will pop up throughout your beard growing journey, so wait for it). And just trim the extra length that you grow throughout the 2 year journey, unless of course you want to grow a long beard, I just think that a long beard goes well with a full beard so I would recommend for your beard to thicken up for the first year or 2 before letting it go longer. It wouldn't make any sense to grow a 12 inch beard out of your neck while the rest of your face has a small amount of hair. That is not a good look. Wait until your under lip hairs aka soul patch thicken along with your cheek hairs, before growing a longer beard. Of course this is only for the people who are growing their beards for the first time because usually they are the ones with the slowest growth rate and I think this is due to the fact that they didn't allow their facial hair to grow in their teen years so it didn't have enough time to develop and this is why people who grew beards before, can grow a better beard the second or third time around.

    Sup man, I'm 25, I basically have a full beard but my cheeks are thinner than my chin and stache. My goatee basically is way thicker than my cheeks. It bugs me so much when I comb because it feels nice and thick in the middle but when I comb my cheeks it's like I'm combing my skin lol. But my side burns are also thick. Is there a reason why they're thin? Genetics ? I'm committed to waiting I know I'm only 25.

    • @BeardedExistence
      @BeardedExistence  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some areas of your beard may grow slower than others. It just takes time my chin also grows faster than my under beard and cheeks. Thanks for checking out the video👊🏾

    Patches especially cheek lines take the longest to grow for most guys. AGE is also a huge factor. The older you are the more likely a guy can grow more hair thicker faster. Also as you age, those patchy spots will fill in. Hair grows at different stages. Growth patterns are sometimes erratic and not uniformed. I’ve seen some of my friends at 46-49 years of age grow beards at different times. Some could when they were young. Others that kept beards rocked patchy beards for a few years. Now these guys have perfect full beards (two of them are diabetic). So these guys are not in their best health. It’s all about time and leaving it alone. Just clean the neckline and groom it, oil it, and every few months shape it slightly. Long facial hair helps the dormant follicles to start growing. One important tip to help you grow hair. Use soap that exfoliates and opens pours. Soap that’s made for your face. You want to cleanse the skin so it can open up. Your skin will feel good AND you can help the dormant follicles to wake up. If you go through a rough ugly duckling stage. Maintain it but offset the look well dressed. Look At Keanu Reeves. Patchy AF, but he looks bad ass when he’s dressed nice. Take the nice clothes away and you get a different person. So keep at it. Sometimes it just takes time. My most important advice. If you give up and decide to shave. Don’t clean shave! Cut your beard down to a stubble (3 o’clock shadow). You might look better and if you decide to grow a second time. You will know what to expect and those little hairs will continue to grow with your longer hair more evenly.
