Gun is derpy, it's a combo of the average accuracy and the AP shell velocity, it has no really fast shell like a lot of the other meds, so you feel it at it longer ranges, people pull back before the shell gets there, you don't hit stuff on the move as good and it just generally misses more shots. UDES 15/16 is similar I feel, with added pen issues so you bounce more as well. But then if both had good accurate guns with fast shell velocity they would be too good.
Its an amazing tank gun is a little derpy so best equipment set up ive found is aiming device hardening bounty rammer and snapshot directive with brothers and arms and a food. Can still shoot on the move accurately and has smaller reticle size and bloom cos of set up!
From my experience mastering STB (vent/rammer/scope) or (vent/camo/turbo) Field Mods : MDI, IS, ARHC, RSR, second slot scouting Loadout : AP 36, gold 4, HE 10 - good damaged and high dpm - medium range best play - good for flanking and hill play - good camo basic + crew skills sacrifice hull traverse because 45 or higher is only good for armor use (CQC) / light tank to make U turn - weak turret for peeking 222 is paper for T10 - weak hull armor for any CQC to any tanks - weak module avoid facing enemy front - bad speed against faster mediums
your absolutely right, this tank is meant to be played aggressive, when round starts you can always get a good position everytime and shoot down enemies as they cross while your teammates still getting into position and early on in the match you can start doing lots of damage the opponents dont even know what hit them basically.
tank is amazing.. sure the gun isn't leo gun, but you get usable turret armor in the trade... opens up way more options with the turret armor... oh, and the gun depression.. ugh, fantastic...
This gun just misses every 3 shots and you get pend by everything trough the turret even while fully using your gun depression, but its still a good tank
Put some standard equipment, 3-4 skill crew max, lose 15 rounds of gold and you get average player base. Then, play this way some games. After that, share your oppinion!
UDES 15/16 over STB any day of the week. STB can farm lower tier tanks, that's it. In tier 10 battles, it doesn't have armor, its gun is unreliable with low alpha, DPM doesn't matter. Most of time, you just cannot access to its potential. It's not even about the tank's difficulty. It's about the tank's abilities. And oh boy, STB vs tier 8s and vs tier 10s are day & night different.
Armor works against noobs in EU. Try to play in ASIA and you will get showered in gold. The gun is absolutely disgusting when it's adjusting its hull when using siege mode

My only issue with the STB is that I don't think the turret armour works as good as it looks on paper.
well its not E3 on speed so I dont know what people expect. Be quick with your peaks, show the least of your tank and youre good

I love the stb, the gun isn't the best but 4k DPM is tasty af and the 40k Ork skin looks awesome

sniping weakspots is a nightmare to me with this tank but overall its pretty awesome
It does miss randomly but it also loads in 5 seconds so it's annoying but not a big deal.

STB gun is okay at short range. But you need to spam gold to be competitive.

the STB1 gun is pure junk. This replay is the best proof. Absolutely unreliable gun that hits even less with me. Not even 1/3 of my shots are dmg...
