Man, prime McGregor was the definition of entertainment. More than just a fighter. He made the entertainment factor (and PPV buys) of UFC surge with his trash talking. Everyone wanted to watch him. And he kept delivering on his trash talk. I get that a lot of other fighters don't like him cause they feel he was unfairly elevated, but that's just nonsense. Yes, you are a fighter. But the UFC is also an entertainment business, and Dana White would have been a fool not to push McGregor in his prime. Badass, funny as hell, quick-witted, and an insanely good counter puncher. He really set the standard for how to promote yourself within the UFC and elsewhere. Good for him - he could have been another all-time great fighter if he just kept his mouth shut. Instead, he used that mouth to make more money than the next 5 highest career earning fighters behind him.
