I remember when RRR came there were a lot of cutouts in Hyderabad itself. even the director SS Rajamouli had a cutout. People down here don't mind going mad over movies. Also they are not actual movie shots they are a compilation of celebrations inside the theatre(just first day first show things) and BTW loved your reaction.
It’s becoz we here not only see them as actors and are die hard fans of them but also we treat them as god I mean people here call themselves as devotees to their star. I myself am such a huge die hard fan devotee to rebel star darling Prabhas anna❤💥❤️
In south, the best actor's like Vijay Surya all are treated as god's when their movie releases people put maala on their poster and akki was right they also bathe the poster with milk and the reactions in the theatre(only South Indians enjoy the most in cinemas) And it feels good to see Yash getting that respect too.
But as a South Indian myself I think that these activities are so dumb. They are great actors no doubt, respect them, thats the limit. But treating them as Gods like put maala on posters, construct big cutouts, bathe their cutouts with milk and building temples (yes there are in South India) etc. are the dumbest thing anyone can do for anyone who is just a human being who's a legend in his/her profession.
