Wall Walks are great. They are generally considered to be a "scaled" movement in CrossFit so when it showed up in the Open they wrecked a lot of the pros because they don't do them. Wall walks are a good safe way to get the same stimulus you would get from handstand pushups or handstand walks but without the risks of those movements.
Looking through these comments, and am ecstatic I see so many positive comments (most likely from endurance athletes) about this comparison, and giving the ladies kudos on their efforts. Too often, when CF is compared to another sport in a video, the fans of "the other sport" just deride CF without acknowledging the competitiveness it actually offers their respective sport.

It's just wonderful that Heather endured this, as I think that it was not that difficult to guess the outcome. But it was fun to watch; thank you Heather! The things that did surprise me were pull-ups, where Heather's performance was just superb, given that she hadn't been training it, and ski erg, where I would've expected her to perform a bit better, but I guess that the latter was too much on the sprint side. Also, the transition race was a nice touch! Jamie putting shoes on before her helmet was certainly something that a triathlete would never do, given the no bike touching without helmet rule.
I like crossfit after a fashion. I'm all for the exercises just not the timed aspect - by making it a race like event you ruin it. I would happily train all the crossfit workouts but instead of "as many as I can In a certain time" work till failure with strict (correct) form for as long as it takes.

As a crossfit guy that's been doing a lot more running to build my engine (and watching you guys to learn more about endurance work), this was fun to watch. I'd say Heather just needs some more strength work and she'd be a badass crossfitter.
She’s a pro athlete and in rehab… she doesn’t need an excuse to not do something, you also clearly don’t understand the movements as the rotation, stretch and pull are different for all 😊
Its because every competitive crossfitters know how crap they are in swimming and the fact technique will take a long time! If you can do pull ups and clean then your rotator cuffs are good for swimming. Dude in the comment section need to learn his anatomy 😂
I think GTNs intent was for this to be a fun competition with Heather wanting to go out of her comfort zone and doing something challenging for her. It's not like Jaime approached GTN to do the competition...
So funny, Jaime "hurt her shoulder, so no swimming" but they walk up on her doing cleans, then they do bodyweight shoulder presses, rowing and pull-ups... Sounds like someone was scared of the fact that she can't swim for shit. This challenge also suited the crossfitter, in that the run was a mile and everything endurance based was too short to actually be a test of endurance at all. It was a test of who is better at crossfit; a crossfitter or a triathlete/decathlete and frankly, Heather put up a better showing, relatively speaking, than Jaime. How about next time the run is at least a 10k, you swim a couple miles and do a long, hilly bike ride?
guessing they didn't want to have to leave the gym to complete the game of HORSE. It seems like you are clearly biased towards the distance events, but I assure you that Jamie can swim very well. Jamie could run 10k, swim a few miles, and bike hills a heck of a lot easier than Heather could C&J 205 lbs....or even 105 lbs.

Triathlete vs crossfitter indoors on a bunch of anaerobic gym activities? It says a lot about how poor crossfit is that it wasn't HORSE to 0 in a bunch of activities made for crossfit. Every other activity should have been at minimum 30-minute endurance activities. Even a Sprint Triathlon contains more endurance than most people can handle without specific endurance training.
