As someone who enjoyed modding the game, this anticheat gives me extreme biased hatred for it. But things come and go and was willing to accept this if it meant a better experience for the player except it fucking didn't so overall fuck this anticheat and fuck ea.
Also to add on, some players like myself have had this error message "array dimensions exceed supported range" supposedly for an unknown reason and therefore cannot mod at all.

This is absolutely atrocious. As much as I'd love to experience mods. The more or less hacker free sessions on Console GW2 are preferred...
@lilydascientist9576 if you read my comment properly I said I was willing to let modding go for a better online experience for the playerbase. I wouldn't be happy about it but that's how things should be. HOWEVER, the anticheat didn't work whatsoever therefore the anticheat is an overall worser change than without.
Except some players now cannot play the game at all, like steam os users, as the game refuse to support proton. So it's just disastrous with consequences magnitudes beyond what hackers could do.
I feel like playing no upgrades armour chomper is more fun than this anti cheat

Well Turns out Frosty ModManger And Frosty Editor Change The Verison Of The Game Or They Renove something in the files that makes the Memory, Frames Worst. also This IS THE SAME BUILD TO THE LAST VERISON which means you can STILL use both frostys.

This is Karma to all the people who say: “EA is not as bad as you think, Popcap are the true villains!” need I remind you that they alone made PVZ1 which is the undisputed best in the franchise and one of the most iconic non-triple A games of all time?
Honestly I find it pretty cool that ea at least tries to do something. The fact that they are doing unban waves again shows that they actually care to some amount and dont just use the anticheat as an excuse to leave the game rotting. Also, people pretend like GW2 is the first game to add kernel level anticheat; as if it werent in a lot of games already(fortnite, valorant vanguard which is far more concerning, etc). The whole reduced performance situation is pretty annoying, but what did people honestly expect? Its an additional program that runs in the background.
Im beginning to suspect that whatever EA does, the pc community will always cry about how bad and evil ea is and how the game is completely shit because of Ea. "This game sucks, theres hackers in every second round"(theres not)"this game sucks because ea did something bla bla kernel level bla"
Maybe im just to casual to care but I barely see any hackers and I feel like the game could have persisted just fine, whether theres updates or not. The community however saw problems where there are none and is now getting supposed solutions by EA.

I want to share something important.
The anti cheats made the games impossible to run on steam deck consoles and possibly other distributions of linux, and I am one of the unfortunate victims.
The new anti cheat comes with the CONSCIOUS decsion of refusing proton support, as other kernel level anti cheats like EAC can be made to support it.
Preventing access to a bought product is something that couldn't even begin to be conceivable in *any domain* other than the informatique one, where ownership of the copy of a program is denied and replaced with a licence.
That and they’ve shut out users who use windows 7, 8 and 8.1.
The steam deck being inaccessible is absurd since that’s relatively new, and the game (albeit with some limitations) would run just fine on the steam deck
It's a shame. I was thinking of buying the PC version until this happened. Those mods seemed really cool but I don't think it's worth it anymore. Just gonna stick to console at this point.
Few months ago, I actually made a prediction about the Anti-cheat system. Where hackers can prove that the Anti-cheat system is gonna be worthless and can be bypassed. My predictions were right.
I hope our screaming can at least get them to fix the anti cheat

The Roof Camper
( Soldier Build. )
Specializes in mostly ranged combat, and having
this build is mostly for soldier players who struggle to face plants head on, and are willing to take a more passive approach , this includes camping buildings/roofs in the back and being an annoying little piece of sh*t to all the enemies,while also making sure you don't run out of ammo for sticky situations.

Upgrades :
Ammo-Thing-A-Ma-Bob
[ 2 Points. ]
This upgrade will come in heavy use to make sure you're able to finish enemies, and not just run out of ammo, however alternatively you can use Bottomless [ 3 Points ] , which allows you to essentially fire forever if you trust your skills on vanquishing enemies with Foot Soldier.

Ranger [ 2 Points. ]
This will come in heavy use for Soldier players who struggle to aim, thanks to this upgrade however, it decreases the zoom FOV to 25°, and removes the annoying camera moving to the left while aiming, allowing for more consecutive hits.

Rocket Leap [ 2 Points. ]
This will be your main ability to get into buildings or to either run away from enemies such as Peashooters, Oaks or Snapdragons.
Alternatively, you can use Propellant [ 2 Points ]
To hit enemies with ZPG from far away, which is really satisfying to do if pulled off.
Misc -
If you like customizing builds, this soldier consists of the following Hats and Set :
For the set, you may wanna use the Vanquish Burglar or Corporal Shootypants ( Both acquired from the Reward-O-Tron-3000 )
For hats, you'll wanna use Perfect Part, and color it Black.
For face customizations, you'll want to use the Agent Overkill set.
And for mouth... you can really use whatever, i recommend also using the Agent Overkill set too.

I wonder what bfn used because at least from the times I played with it I got no cheaters. Then again maybe people haven't gotten to it yet? As someone who doesn't download mods for gw2 I was kinda excited, except it didn't work properly and it lags the game. Idk what the interns or whoever at popcap/ea or whatever are doing but I sincerely hope they find a better solution to this and hear us out on this one.
Well thats down to 2 factors...
One in that BFN's anticheat was actually implemented from the start, and I think generally is a lot more limiting in what can be done in terms of modding.
The other factor is that compared to GW2, the "profile" needed in order to mod the game is nowhere near as widely available as GW2's, so fewer cheaters have access to it.

Some is having problems like anything is function? The only thing i can play is the legendary mode in the town and there still some problems there

It’s the overtime theme from BFN. Will say this, it is from an In-game recording someone did and the game randomly generates a loop of the theme, so no 2 listening will be the same.
