Not a guy but this was a beautiful story. Her backstory and how her worldview has been formed are hauntingly yet brilliantly written. Not to mention that while she starts to come out of her shell a bit she’s realistically still hesitant, and unsure if this truly means anything yet. Wonderfully done, I can only hope her story continues.
I spent most of high school showing shy girls who were socially awkward that they were amazing women worthy of love and compassion. Hearing the "it's not that lonely" line pulls on the heart, because I've heard that excuse from so many young women who just couldn't find a way out of their own social anxiety.
I used to like this one girl who was more shy while I was in junior high and I kept my feelings to myself for a long time. (I told a friend after a while) next thing I knew it was the end of the school year and she was transferring somewhere else starting next school year, so I went the last day and I still couldn't muster up the courage to do anything, in the end I regret not saying anything to her even if she probably didn't even have interest in me. (I have next to no confidence in myself)
I've watched a ton of these videos of all types from many different artists in the last 2 weeks (how have i just now found these????). There has been so many times that it has made me feel like my own current relationship (married 10 years) ended up being such a boring story lol.

I met a friend through a similar circumstance: There was a birthday party I went to for a friend, and there I noticed a goth girl just sitting by herself. Me being the dumbass I am decided to go talk to her to be friendly, but she didnt want to have any socialization due to life making her feel downtrodden and miserable, so I left her alone. A few weeks later I invited the friend to a movie night and the girl showed up with her....and now we are still close friends who share art and crazy stories together. Also...the friend story hit a bit too close to home; I lost one of my best friends from middle school a few years ago and I still have not gotten over the loss. The tears have gone, but I always wonder if he is okay wherever he is and hope he knew how much I appreciated his friendship to my family and our fellow friends. You never really do go back to normal after such loss Part of you is suddenly ripped away like that it never gets replaced nor grows back. But eventually with enough persistence you learn to live again and learn to hold on and cherish the memory of what you lost instead of holding on to the grief of it. Grief might feel like the only connection you have left but that's not it. It's a story i know but still. Poor girl. We'd probably have some things in common and to talk about Must be your acting, you relayed the character really well.
I personally would just straight up choose her. Perfect GF material. No fashion oriented chick, not a drama queen and definitely perfect for an introvert like me who don't really looks like one until you get to know me. The more outgoing/popular girls were never my thing. Like I was doing student work to have a decent CV before I go to proper work and then I would have to explain myself why I can't go and so on. That was always really annoying whenever I got invited somewhere. But hey, I gladly took this sacrifice since I'm getting paid very well and have the possibility to support one of my 3 best friends if they really need help.

Ik this is a fake made up thing but I get it. School rumors spread so fast it’s almost impossible to change ppl’s minds. I was bullied from literally 5th-12th mostly by the same kid. He was always the popular guy. In 12th he called me “the next school 🔫” all because I was quiet & didn’t have a lot of friends. No one in the class thought that was too far so fck them all. Teacher was out. Next day, in English, another class , we got a prompt “what do you think you’ll be remembered for in school?” Since it was a couple weeks til graduation. I wrote in chicken scratch what he said in quotes as to not be liable in any case. Got sent to the principals for most of the morning. Cop came. Principal/assistant principal (idk his title) he asked “you went to that science trip to Ecuador & the Galapagos, why didn’t you write about that?” Cop read it & said “that’s not the question.” Basically, bc he was always popular, a rumor probably spread and I was already an outcast weirdo since elementary & 5 , going on 6 yrs later, I feel like some ppl fully believe it judging by looks I see when I come across someone my age/a bit younger. Another reason to move to another state for me. 😂
