- I bought a used Elecraft KX2 and needed to update the firmware. Detailed instructions in this video show downloading the Elecraft utility, attaching the KXUSB cable and updating the firmware. I also ran the Transmit Gain Calibration. Enjoy!

I just got a used KX2 (my first) and so Im learning how to use it right now and I also set it up. Also had the same FW 02.69 and 01.49 and just updated, which I can recommend. Thx for the video and showing the tx calibration.
Thanks for making this video.
Thanks for commenting and best 73 and good DX!!
Where did you get the VFO knob for the KX2? I find that the standard one from Elecraft is awkward to use when when you want to scroll rapidly up or down the band - it needs a dimple.
Thank you for commenting and thank you for the question. It's nice to hear from you Fred.
I bought the KX2 used and it came with the knob. I do like it.
