Crazy colours on the set but all ready and working properly again, I did have one of these for a short time back in the 80's hey days but like we know in the city the bleedover was a nightmare but they were good in the car where you could escape the suburban burner brigades.
They are....but in rural areas like this they work well. The Signal 1001 (cheapo version of the JWR M2/York JCB867/SMC Ocar 2/Icom ICB 1050) is so bad, it picks up the ground RADAR at RAF Cranwell 4 miles away! Mmmm...I've got one on the shelf & must do a video on it. Richard
@@ukfmcbradioservicingTango21 I briefly had a (2nd hand) York 867 and was convinced that someone had been inside it. It sounded off frequency but having just read what you've written... I got rid of it sharpish. Total junk next to the 863.
My question is WHY..The Time and Money are just not worth anything ?. I got 3 or 4 in a box and just not worth my time.the only thing is worth anything is the signal meter and speaker..
Customers send them in so they get serviced. They also work well is some areas like here in rural Lincolnshire & are more sensitive than many other sets. They are very reliable. Look at the much loved Uniden sets in comparison...no frequency adjustment, receive rarely better than 0.9uV, bassy transmitted audio & unreliable capacitors. Richard, G0OJF, UK
@@ukfmcbradioservicingTango21 Are Unidens that bad? I know everyone says they're 'deaf' but I couldn't tell any difference on receive between my 200 and York 863 (not that I had any measuring eqpt) I did prefer the Uniden 200 over any Cybernet 134 rig I've owned, much as I love them.
Ahh. I Remember these. Great for listening to 8 channels at once. The Fiddle-it 1000's. LOL
I miss the late 80's CB life.
Wow, trendy colour scheme!
Sunglasses required! You could almost clap for the NHS with that one.

Hello. You should make a vid showing the "display only" records that are actually normal records. Have a splendid say.
I didn't think of that one, so they are now booked into my system. Shall I buy some more?
Richard
