Made this cocktail a few times. Originally I could not get soursop and made it with pineapple (interwebs sub suggestion) which was good. Few years ago was able to get a soursop liqueur and revisited this one. So good soursop (at least the liqueur) has a pineapple/strawberry vide that work perfectly with rum.
Dang this looks like a masterpiece! As you mentioned, I gotta find that Soursop stuff, sounds fascinating. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for it now. Thanks for sharing, this series is a great one! Cheers, Vino!
Sometimes I tell people about the struggles that they made it through to remind them that they can defeat the struggle ahead of them. I actually got the chance to meet Shannon at a rum event downtown. Too bad I didn't have my copy of her book, I would have asked her to sign it. I still plan on making use of this bottle of Pimms in my cabinet.
I haven't made this in a long time. Time to revisit. Soursop is aka Guanabana. I have a Guanabana liqueur (Huana by Casa d'Aristi). I'll use that if I can't find the Soursop juice. Would probably need to adjust something somewhere in the specs though.
I've never seen a soursopguanabana liqueur. Sounds interesting. I find the nectar to be quite viscous, so maybe using a gomme syrup would make up for it.
I enjiyed the video but that shaker and the shake you gave it....I mean, are you injured lol? You need a two piece shaker and give it a proper shake to incorporate the ingredients. Keep up the fun videos.
Haha! I actually do a full 15 second hard shake (ramp up & ramp down) but I edit it out with a “cross dissolve” effect. I just rewatched and saw how lazy it appeared without the middle part. Haha! Thanks for pointing it out though. Gave me a good laugh. 😂 Cheers and thanks for watching!
I'll have to give the Encantamento a try. She uses some lesser used ingredients, so sometimes I have something bookmarked for a while. I'll check for that one!
What’s an ingredient you’ve purchased just to make one specific cocktail and now it’s collecting dust? 🍹
Too many to count 😅
@@Kiki_Fugawi😂😂 I bring those bottle to parties. 😅
Suze
OMG I wrote that before I realized Suze was in this cocktail ha ha!!!
@@abnormalprophet Whoa. There are so many great drinks you can make with Suze.

You're the second one to mention a soursop liqueur. I have to see if I can score one. I wanna see how it holds up vs the nectar.
@@CoachVinoLLC the one I have is Huana by Casa D'Aristi

If you don't have the book, you should consider it. Being the tiki-guru you are, you'll dig some of the modern takes on tiki. Cheers, pal!
Hope you had a wondrous summer Vino ❤💛💙
Thanks Chappy. Likewise, my friend!

It's great to remind people that the struggles they've already experienced are what will prepare them for future struggles. My man! 💪🏽
Soursop is on the list! This would work so well for us today, but we’re fools and forgot to pack gentian liqueur for vacation…
You mean you didn’t pack your ENTIRE collection of bottles?!?
Thanks, Rum and Suze! Had to try that... for you followers in Paris, I found frozen soursop puree 135 rue du Faubourg du temple (wasn't easy...)
Thanks for putting the word out. It’s hard enough to find here in the States. I imagine not much easier in Europe. Cheers!
Never heard of soursop, sounds fun!
I bet it's a flavor you'd have fun playing with.
Terrific stiff cocktail!! Love the Suze!! Cheers!! 🙂
It's a boozy doozy! ha! Cheers my friend.
Yay!!
This looks really good Love the more videos of vino
Thanks pal. Trying to pump out content ain’t easy. lol.
@@CoachVinoLLC I know how you feel

Oh. I've never made one of those. Also might depend on the brand. Haymans is good.
Hayman’s is the only one I’ll drink j.

Great book! I got it recently and made the Encantamento, which also uses soursop. Highly recommend. Now I'll have to get some Suze and make this one!

Vino, I have never tries SourSop. I will have to rectify that,
I bet it would be easy to find where you are but if you can score some, definitely go for it.
