Beautiful trails out there! Minus inconsiderate 4 wheelers. If you guys have problems with your goggles fogging up. Use a ceramic coating on the inside and out side. Very durable, and you don't need to be careful when you clean them. I only used hot water and a rag this whole year, no scratches. Then for the inside, use a foam, not gel, shaving cream. A dab will do ya. May have to apply it once a month. It still works and helps a lot with keeping the inside of the shield from freezing in winter well below 0 C up here.
Looked like loads of fun sorry Tyler not all HD riders are like those UTV'ers. those utv's are for people who are scared of 2 wheels. like the spyders (a snow mobile with wheels). I don't care what 2 wheels you ride and long as it has 2 wheels and it is a motorcycle. However I did meet a man who lost both his legs well above the knees. He was riding a Goldwing trike with hand controls on the Cherohala skyway. He and people like him get a big thumb's up for not quitting . I hope by the time i retire and move to TN I am not to old to do back road riding like you guys. Noah could kick my butt on those trails. You all have a Happy New Year.
Mike/Bob, you're always the exception (and some others of course). I just let Tyler rant; he makes me laugh and keeps it fun out there. Never good to see anyone lose their legs but cool to see the passion of riding still here. I'm keeping Noah on that 85 for as long as possible. With a Super-Mini, I don't know if I'd be able to keep up anymore.
Nice riding Mario , Noah ,s a little trooper no complaining just gets it done Over here all trails are 1 way only to avoid any head ons . At least everyone was semi thoughtful and no Agro ,
Man I just got rid of my 85, looked and tan just like yours with the fmf shorty pipe that thing was a beast, we had bored it out to 105 and that thing had way to much power than it needed for such a small tire. Great video but on the trails I’d love to see longer videos and watching the whole trail, might just be me but that’s what I’d love to see. Thank you tho I still enjoy what you have!
Nothing like ripping dirt bikes over the mountains, through the woods and through giant mud muddles and creek crossings (though I'm sure my wheel bearings don't like it as much). It's great that Noah's now big enough to come along.
Great video, like to ride that area someday. Little man did an awesome job holding his own. That was very cool. Thanks for sharing, Be Healthy Be Safe.
The single biggest threat to those of us on 2 wheels at HM are the UTV's. Some UTV riders, not all of them, don't have any situational awareness that anyone else is on the trails. We too have had many close calls on the corners, sometimes multiple in the same day and we are slow, old, careful riders. You always have to be on your toes and on the alert. I have dubbed the lead rider to be the suicide jockey. On future trips, I am going to change my riding plans to avoid riding on weekends, there's much less traffic on the trails during the week.
Ride there 7-8 times a year, rockhouse and Buffalo are our choice and stay on single or the black trails to avoid 99% of traffic. Gotta run nitro moose and not worry about flats
Looked awesome! Some heavy traffic areas early on. Excellent footage as always. We have some OHV areas around Knoxville (Windrock, Royal Blue, etc.). I'm planning to take the Scrambler out on some of the easier trails to get my shoes dirty. I'll probably stick to mostly where jeeps can comfortably go until I get more experience (and a real dirt bike).
Man that looks like so much fun I've been dying to go down there looks like those side by sides are everywhere now I had a near Miss up here at tasker's Gap they should make those guys take a safety course before they turn them loose most of those side by side guys I have zero off road experience and they think it's just Bonsai down the trail and they're the only one there almost got plowed buy one on the DRZ about a month ago
You're right about that Ben. I wouldn't put anyone on those trails (ATV, SXS, Dirt Bike) unless they had some basic fundamentals of riding down. You almost have to ride them like you do on the street and constantly be paying attention or a head on collision can easily happen.
Love to have you come ride with us! While we've been doing the Wild & Wonderful Weekend events the last 3 years, I really want to add some other events to the schedule such as adventure rides (MABDR), possibly a trip to Hatfield McCoy and other established riding events/tours that we can book the block through the channel and just open it up to subscribers. 2020 put us a little behind trying to get that off the ground with all the travel restrictions.
Nice vid Mario! I see why dirt bike riders like single track...never seen so many side by sides. Eventually I wanna get into some trail riding...seems half the guys I ride with also hv dual sport/dirt bikes/enduro bikes...guess its inevitable I'll get one :-)
While the SXS are all over the place, we really only had a couple close calls. Single Track is the way to go but unfortunately there's not near as much of it. The "most difficult" atv trails are usually pretty barren too.
Can't speak for Tyler but Noah and I were I think around 10psi front and 12psi rear. No issue with flats (though we brought along spare tubes) but I was running heavy duty tubes this time. Normally I run double tubes.
It’s totally legal in those towns for dirt bikes, ATVs etc to ride on the street. (No tags needed) Hatfield McCot tourism is about the only thing keeping a lot of those towns going.
serious lol - "SXS must be the harleys of the ATV world!" Perfect quote. I'm going there in October on a 450-EXC F - thanks for the video!
Tyler caught some flack for that but...he's not wrong. Have fun and watch out for SXS!
Dang wet roots/branches can get you at any moment! Awesome to see your son out riding with you.
yeah, that branch reached up and grabbed me 😂
I like H&M Trails; however, I absolutely hate the 2 way traffic... I had a couple close calls within hours of riding, it’s always the ATV/UTV’s!
Yeah, we talked to a local about them ever making them one way and he stated there's just been too much resistance to do it.
cool video , been there bunch of times , always a great trip , good to see the young guy out ripping with you guys , he rides good .

Appreciate the tips! I'll be sure to try them out.
Looked like loads of fun

The motocross winner is; you son! (Cheers) good riding skills, awesome to see your son following dad's love for bikes. 👍🏽
Yeah, I he had himself a great time.

Kid had a smile on his face the entire time.

Those side by sides are the bane of the off road world.
Preach it Ron! The biggest problem with them are the Yeti coolers full of beer (illegal) attached to the back.
Noah for the win....The kid can ride! would love to ride down there, just not into all the side by sides.
Yeah, I need to start improving my skills so I'll still be able to keep up with him in a few years.
Damn that looks fun AF! And having your kid join you, that’s awesome.
Nothing like ripping dirt bikes over the mountains, through the woods and through giant mud muddles and creek crossings (though I'm sure my wheel bearings don't like it as much). It's great that Noah's now big enough to come along.
Love your riding footage. Awesome trails y'all rode on. My name is Sonny. I'm a new subscriber from New Orleans, La.
Great video, like to ride that area someday. Little man did an awesome job holding his own. That was very cool. Thanks for sharing, Be Healthy Be Safe.
Thanks Barry. Noah had a blast down there. Far different than riding the same loop or track like he's used to.
Awesome stuff!! Been wanting to get a enduro for quite a while, might have to move it up on the list and take a road trip!! Thanks for sharing..
Ron, you'd have a blast.

All true
Oh yeh the ol angled stick crash
LOL...yea
Wish there were more areas like this closer to the Eastern Panhandle
Me too! While it's in the state, it's still quite a drive to get down there.
Nice for you to be riding with Noah and they should make a dirt bike only area on Hatfield and McCoy like say, oh I dunno, all of it.
Yeah, I know of some other places that have done that.
That looked like a lot of fun for all ! I've been to that area years and years ago. You guys eat good !
Food was inexpensive but really good.
Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed it!!
Thanks Ken!
That Pizza joint used to have AMAZING pizza but didn't seem to be worth the shout out for you guys. Their party special is a pretty good deal. 👍
Service was a bit lacking
Good stuff man!!

Thanks Jeff! Tyler and I were talking and the wider ATV trails (when not soaked like the second day) would have been easily passable on the ADV bikes.
Love your crack about the fat SxS. Too many bike riders get hurt when those bozos take the inside line of a left hand curve
Haha was here just a few weeks ago and saw a cat burned down and it looked awfully similar to the one passing u in this video🤣

Dynamite video coverage. Would love to ride with you guys someday👍

Y’all should Hmu and plan a ride there for next year!
Great vid! I'm curious what psi are you guys running and do you ever have issues with flats at HMT?
Can't speak for Tyler but Noah and I were I think around 10psi front and 12psi rear. No issue with flats (though we brought along spare tubes) but I was running heavy duty tubes this time. Normally I run double tubes.
Dirt bikes, naw mud bikes!
i fuckin hate side by sides on this trail systeem
13:35 towns = clowns. So true. LMAO!
LOL...probably Tyler's best line of the trip.
It’s that easy to get around the area without street legal/plates? Towns don’t mind?
It’s totally legal in those towns for dirt bikes, ATVs etc to ride on the street. (No tags needed) Hatfield McCot tourism is about the only thing keeping a lot of those towns going.
I miss the days before stupid sxs's they ruin the trails.
