  • Let's hear the 2 in a more high gain sound.
    I tried to play Jack Thammarat's "Mr. Frontman". I tried to learn this song 8 years ago. 8 years after, I'm still learning. lol.

    I could only hear a difference the first time when I watched it. The second time when I looked away and only listened with my ears I heard absolutley no difference! Nice work!

    I have no idea how so many high end guitars go through your hands, it’s hard to focus in the music, GAS is contagious! Anyway well done on this one, I have the AZ2402, after a swap from a AZ2204 that wouldn’t stay in tune. I think this video shows that body wood is not affecting tone that much particularly when the guitar is played in a band context and using high gain. I’ll keep checking in, congrats and keep doing this!

      If you use whammy quite often, what will happen? Will it be out of tune easily. If it is double string locking system, will it help?

    MM1 seems to benefit from the amp settings in this demo, and I prefer its warmer tone. The tone from the neck pickup in the AZ2404 always seems too bright.

    • @TheCikker
      @TheCikker ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mm1 has Mahogany body, thats the reason for the warmer tone. Ive recently tested both and MM1 is by far the heaviest one.

    Hello, Ibanez AZ are good guitars.
    The problem is that they are not in tune.
    Floating tremolo spoils the whole guitar playing.

    I know this is a bit old but, are there any actual differences that you can point to? It's not the same to actually play them both vs listening after youtube does its thing with the sound. Thanks!

      The AZ2402 offered a bit more treble but not as much low end as the MM1. Thanks for watching!

      @@jem555bkk Thanks!!! Thing is I just ordered the AZ and was not sure if the extra $500 for the MM are worth it, cuz the truth is, I sometimes closed my eyes during your playing and could not tell which guitar you were using. So, I imagined that you were the only one that could actually notice any differences. Thanks again! Your channel is like a buying guide hahah

    • @jem555bkk

      @@droidfan There isn't that much difference in tone so you might want to consider buying based on the look and feel. There are quite a few differences for example, color & finish, tone & volume knobs, and inlays. Glad the videos are useful. Good luck!

      @@jem555bkk Thanks a lot, I actually have a different and more complex question. Since the AZ2402 is an alder body and the MM1 is mahogany+maple cap, how come the two guitars sound so similar? I'm asking this mostly because I love my Les Paul with my Marshall for heavier stuff, but when I plug in my HSS Strat (with a totally similar humbucker than the les paul) I get a very different tone, less beefy, more... stratty. I'm afraid an AZ2402 could sound like that being the same wood and the same scale lenght, while I hoped the MM1 would sound more similar to the Les Paul.... Thanks

    • @jem555bkk
      @jem555bkk  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DavidRFIT With exact same structure, neck wood, bridge, & pickups, they should sound similar. There are more factors that contribute to tone than just body wood. Does it make sense?
