Mana Atua is an upcoming documentary in which we see gangs facing their past and present realities to bring freedom and peace for future generations. We hear from members inside that are on journeys to bring positive change for themselves and their fellow patch members.
We have never had a film project before that so consistently challenges and shapes preconceived ideas. Building relationship with these men and capturing their stories over the last two years has been an amazing experience and an honour!

In terms of receiving eternal life, yes. Anyone who believes in Jesus the Christ for eternal life has that life. In terms of living the Christian life, no. I don’t know how you could be part of an organisation that is diametrically opposite to that of Christ. If they wanted to grow in their faith, they would need to seperate themselves from their fellow gang members. What does light have with darkness. Whether they do or not though, salvation is a free gift. Jesus gives eternal life to all who believe in Him for it. Not by works (change of behaviour/command keeping) but by faith (belief).
No offense intended, I read these two portions from the KJV bible.
KJV James ch 2
v 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
v18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
KJV Ephesians ch 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
My understanding is that verse 9 speaks of mans works and the works of man is not acceptable unless its good works verse 10 being empowered by the Holy Spirit through Christ and the Most High Almighty Father gets the glory. shalom

James is talking to believers who already have eternal life. He is telling them that believing Christian doctrine without putting it into action is pointless. If God commands you to love your brother but you don’t do it, even though you believe that Gods word tells you too, then your faith is dead (useless/unprofitable). This passage has nothing to do with receiving eternal life, instead it’s about our daily lives as Christian’s.
Ephesians 2:8 couldn’t be more clear that we are saved by faith apart from works. Verse 10 speaks of the works God has prepared for the Church (notice the contrast between the plurals you and we).
Those verses do not contradict the message that whoever simply believes in Jesus will never perish but has Eternal life. John 3:16
In KJV Matthew 19 when Christ was confronted by a young man who asked him how does one obtain eternal life? What was Christs reply? Commandments! The Christ you believe in may not be this one in Matthew 19. Many would come in his name saying they know him...Lord, Lord. In Revelation ch22v 14. One is deluded if they believe they can continue in wilful deliberate sin. Hebrews 10v 26-31. Be ye perfect as the Most High Almighty Father in heaven is perfect. One should stop excusing wilful sin using grace as a explanation and at the same time proclaiming I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
