Looks like MG have a clear winner in the catagory.
MG is owned by a Chinese govt company. It's majority stake is owned directly by the Chinese govt who is releasing videos to the world of Indian soldiers being captured and blindfolded. Are people's conciousness dead? I get it you cant avoid Chinese in smartphones but in the car sector the situation is opposite as in we only have one Chinese car company in India.

I think this car is bang on with all VFM features however they should have come up with a diesel option as well. This will definitely impact their sales. The only reason other Sub-compact/Mid-sized SUVs are popular is their diesel engine.

You are right, but not entirely. It's still very much a British brand. Just like Land Rover is being owned by Tata, but it's not an Indian brand. The tech is still all british. So is in MG Astor. Just my 2 cents.

The price u pay for this may be good for the features and a good deal . But dont forget the profit from this car sale will go to china and will be used against our pride the Indian army and funding pakistan . So please dont be selfish and think about country first . Strong people make strong nation. Nt saying to buy only indian cars but atleast dont fund the enemy . Hyundai , toyota , honda etc of japan and south korea also have amazing cars .

I am planning to buy the Astor base model (manual). I am impressed by the car's features. but a little bit worried about the car average. Has anyone installed a CNG kit in it? If yes, can you please share the experience? Thank you
I took the test drive of 1.5 naturally aspirated engine and really impressed by interior and features, performance was also decent. I took test drive of Taigun, Kushaq, Sletos but this is one step ahead in design, build quality, interior and features. Obviously, Kushaq and Taigun's 1.5 turbo is something that will blow you with performance. Astor comes with attractive price tag and I believe this will tear apart legacy of Creta and Seltos in just one year. But, hold on, Astor has only 177mm ground clearance, I mean can we still call this SUV in India.
If you drove the cvt can you please explain the power
@@sahilkalra8792 I drove 1.5 naturally aspirated and not turbo one. Performance was acceptable for family person, I guess almost same like Maruti S-Cross.
@@pakaboss007 sir scross is a 77 bhp engine if it feels similar to astor 110 bhp considering body mass ratio then i think this will not be a great choice for highway
@@sahilkalra8792 No, S-Cross generates 103bhp power. Performance of Astor is good and I believe it is way better than Creta and Seltos in terms of build quality and features. If you drive other turbo engines like Tiguan or Kushaq then Astor will feel little less in power. Note that if you are getting power you will loose mileage as well.

Very impressive car. MG has been consistently putting out good products in India. Good package of premiumness, features , safety etc. If they can ensure good service network they have the potential to capture a good section of the Indian car market.

Only top model will get full features of safety and Luxury. You know this very well and still choose to misguide audiance. Ek kaam karne ka decide karte ho life me usme bhi imandari nahi ?
It's same with every car, but mg is giving luxury features led headlamps, DRLs, soft touch material, climateronic AC, bigger wheels as standard and esp , hill hold , 4 disc brakes, traction control as safety standard while rivals like Hyundai,Kia , volkswagen, skoda are keeping these features reserved for top and mid variants.
I am not a big fan of mg but you should look for its base model . I think out of all cars in rival it's providing most features

If you wanna test the cars for off-roading purpose in Haldwani then its my sincere suggestion go at the back side of Tata motors showroom that’s the perfect spot for off-roading test, you gonna love it.
